mufmitz: I am glad to see some decent folk back on the board. As I keep saying just filter the scum and then they don't need to bother us. I do find the movements of the OOM share price a touch confusing. It may be that the market think it is fully valued at about 96p and we are just seeing random movements? Only time will change this and I am fairly confident about the future. I suppose a bid is a possibility but even without a bid OOM should still do very well. I notice a sell of about 3.5 million at the close and there were about twice the number of sells as compared to buys today!

oldolie: Mufmitz - 13 Apr'04 - 10:05 - 6196 of 6198 Maut too - I picked up the same note from my broker. I am hoping to sell HER and shove the loot into OOM at about 103p. I cannot see much happening with the OOM share price soon BUT there could be another bid and even if there isn't then OOM should still make progress. HER was going nowhere fast! maut too - 13 Apr'04 - 10:15 - 6197 of 6198 thats about right ... we are in a fairly tight trading range but I would expect a bid or rumours of a bid relatively soon Mufmitz - 13 Apr'04 - 10:19 - 6198 of 6198 Yup. It would seem to be on the cards! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ROFLMFAT&BO barely time for maut to change aliases in that exchange ps I beleive in Iran they do sell wives off- as maut says he sold " HER"

mufmitz: The article published by Nicandy (5968) may be more significant than it looks at first glance. It was clearly translated from the German into poor English and is the first real news we have had about the intentions of KPN. I am convinced that KPN are still in the fray because for them it may be a matter of survival. They not only want the customers that OOM have but also their expertise to enliven a moribund KPN. I see it very much as a swimmer clinging to his bit of driftwood (KPN) but there is a perfectly good lifeboat over there called OOM!! What would you do? KPN are taking what I call the 'proud' approach but they may finally have to accept that they are the subdominant partner in any deal with OOM. They say that they will wait for the OOM share price to fall but why should it? If there are rumours - even of a weak kind - then I would expect the OOM share price to jump immediately. Cheap shares would seem to be a non-starter. And why would KPN be looking for extra dosh in the money markets? We are seeing poker playing. I may get a T25 tomorrow on some OOM! Well done Nicandy. This is the power of the web. I suppose the article could be a hoax but I don't think so. It has the ring of truth to it.

mufmitz: Typical journalism, Bill! I saw the 137p, ND, and it only serves to confirm my own feeling that true value in OOM has yet to be reached. I cannot see the OOM share price heading south next week - maybe we will see a consolidation and a slightly rising price? Possibly plus 5p by the week-end? This would be in the absence of any bid news of course! Bid news could see the price shoot up!

mufmitz: Oddly enough my broker was not keen to sell one T10 and replace it with another! I have no idea why!! I do suspect that OOM will ignore the US market whatever the labour figures reveal. My new T10 covers the period I would wish to cover - the next 10 trading days should see something revealed about the bid for OOM or not. Clearly if there is a bid and the bid is at 120p then I will make money on my new T10 BUT if there is no immediate bid will the OOM share price collapse? I don't think so. There is value in OOM which has been revealed by the bid talk - and even if there is no new bid soon I suspect the market will be looking towards a bid in the future. This should stabilise the share price at a reasonable figure and probably higher than it is now. I foresee a problem if a bid goes through - depending on the folks involved OOM may become a 'sell'.

mufmitz: I suspect the news from Comtex has helped the OOM price today. The DoCoMo bid is a possibility and - whilst folk believe that - the OOM share price should remain around the present figure or maybe move a little higher during the next few days until the future becomes a little more clear!! My T10 is up tomorrow and I am keeping my fingers crossed! Maybe 110p?

mufmitz: ND - I would tend to dump BT who are a collection of three time losers! They were the idiots who got rid of OOM!! OOM is definitely going somewhere with or without a bid. All the recent bid has done is draw attention to the fact that OOM is undervalued. Today was not a good day for the market but OOM actually gained 1p. So. I know that I am a rash share buying maniac but I am sticking with OOM at this point. We may still see a bid! The OOM management have dragged OOM from nowhere in two years to its present position - that kind of management is special and will probably continue to perform well. The OOM share price may be stuck around the present price for a while but that in itself is some evidence that the market is beginning to make a re-assessment of OOM on the positive side. My T10 is up on Friday and I am hoping to make a profit however small.

mufmitz: Dear Phil, What I tend to do when I have a fairly large holding in any share is to add T25's when I think there is any chance of movement upwards. During the 25 days I can sell enough shares to cover my costs if the price moves up and therefore create extra shares BUT if the price drops I sometimes need to sell more shares than the T25 holds! I hope this is clear. The problem with a T25 is that my broker can't go to direct electronic trading - very quick - but must go through a broker and this takes time. When I was buying my 20k OOM last Monday I wanted to deal fast because the price was moving fast so I stuck with a T10!! At the moment I can get out of the T10 with neither loss nor gain but for every penny over my buy price of 105.6p I make about £200. I will keep an eye on things and, hopefully, I will be able to get out with a profit. I hope that helps. The OOM share price seems fairly static around 106p but if another bid turns up then I can win!

mufmitz: Maut too - it would seem to be inevitable that the OOM share price picks up tomorrow. 110p seems to have been laid down as a 'negotiating price' and one might expect a quite rapid jump to that level. We might then see a fall back whilst things settle down followed by the real game! OOM is a desirable commodity - your research points that out and well done, Sir. The problem now would seem to be not IF OOM is gobbled up - but simply WHEN and by whom!!! And at what price!! 110p could be a minimal estimate. I am sure OOM will pull out all the stops to make itself a difficult target. The situation is really just Darwinian - and subject to the same rules. When dogs fight over a bone or a piece of territory the biggest dog wins!
