Have you thought that CEY might just know a little bit more than the poor idiotic investors (like me) who've hung on?

Selling at any price... mainly because whether they sell their remaining shares at 0.35p, i.e. for £350k or at 0.20p (£200k) that's only 0.05 - 0.03% of CEYs market cap so makes virtually no difference to them

1st selling period (four weeks)
Oct 17 2013 -20,000,000 sold @1.1p
Oct 21-31st -20,000,000 sold @0.8p
Nov 01-14th -20,000,000 sold @0.66

2nd selling period
Feb 25 2014 -11,000,000 sold @0.5p (100,000,000 shares left)

Still 100m shares to go. I guess Centamin want to punish NYO for not going with them. Pity those who bought at 0.75 a couple of days ago.

from the Kefi thread.n_w_b - 25 Feb 2014 - 07:15 - 39032 of 39032 - 1unionI thought the NYO comment wasn't accurate, as Harry mentioned yesterday that the revised DFS would be completed by Q3/Q4(at the latest), so they would be "reactivating" the MLA after then, but thought i'd check with JR first before making an inaccurate statement."KEFI Minerals has also triggered refinement of the DFS (DefinitiveFeasibility Study) with a view to re-activating by the end of 2014 the suspended mining lease and appropriate development funding."After which they expect quick approval, as most of the MLA work and environmental work had previously been done. From Proactive interview with JR(10/02/14) :"The government were ready to issue the mining licence last year and were disappointed the project did not proceed last summer. We expect an updated project to receive quick approval from the mines department as Ethiopia's first privately funded gold mine for many years."They'll then be able to start development next year, as per on schedule"planned development in 2015 of a plant producing approximately 85K oz. p.a. Au""KEFI plans to use potential cash flows from 2016 to repay planned project finance, pay dividends and generate growth through exploration in its region of focus."

Well not sure of the logic of Nyota going up so much compared to Kefi but not going to moan about something that annoys unlucky punter/tracy lies/STI poor loser.

Interesting. Resource update for Kefi within a month and targetting the funding case (fundraising perhaps Q3 latest Q4). Sounds like closer to $150m than $300m for a slower ramp-up which is based on a $1000 dollar gold price to underscore but getting 80% of original ore target.

Two funding options:
a) Project finance specialist banks / London equity components (vanilla approach)
b) Chinese funders interested in Africa (NYO activated discussions already, both equity and debt potential)

$300m

Perhaps there is a sizable funding round taking place at the moment. Given the price increase perhaps this is at a premium
