Revenue increased to its highest level in the Group's history for a half-year period.

Our second half has started well and our deal pipeline is strong.

Interesting comment from Investors Chronicle today...

"The value of firms around the world attempting an initial public offering in the first three months of this year dropped by 67 per cent to $13.2 billion; the volume also dropped by 38 per cent year on year to 173 deals, according to data from Dealogic. The technology sector leading on the way down, off 77 per cent, and only one deal, for China’s Zheshang Bank, was for over $1 billion ($1.7 billion). Not only were these the worst figures since 2009 but the number of IPO withdrawals hit a new record so far in 2016."

Trading Statement on 31st March. First Half will have the fees for Autotrader,Countryside,Matchtech/Networkers, Be Heard etc. Edison forecasts earnings of 23.8p for full year for a PE of 8.7 or 6.3 stripping out net cash of 46.5p. Prospective yield is over 6%.

Low pe, nice growing dividend, ex tomorrow. Buying back own stock.Always a confident sign.

keith - The accelerated dividend payment does NOT in any way imply another payment when the Interims are released in May. The fact that the announcement refers to an 'accelerated interim dividend' actually implies that the interim dividend payment has been brought forward from when it is normally paid, not that it is a payment in addition to the interim dividend.

All Numis are doing is bringing forward the interim dividend payment so that it falls in the current 2015/16 tax year (it is normally paid in June each year) in order to avoid the changes which come into effect from 6/4/2016 relating to the new tax treatment of dividend income. The same has been done by several other companies, including Cenkos (CNKS), LondonMetric Property (LMP)... Doubtless the interim dividend payment will revert to June in 2017. Aimho

'Someone building a stake?' - Yup I got a shed load ... accelerated dividend implying another when results are out .. share buyback .... what is not to like.

Cenkos Sec is related ... QPP woes leading to somewhat poorer sentiment but fantastic dividend and much less debt than Numis - and I have two sheds full of those from below 140 plus recent dividend.

Market conditions improving, looks like they have plenty of cash. Dividends increased every year. Divi brought forward to ex this Thursday.
