I think the admin costs are not helped by the fact we are so many different businesses under the one umbrella of Northern Bear, efforts are being made to amalgamate some so we may see the benefits in the years ahead.

The main thing that concerns me here is the £7M admin costs... does anyone know why they are so ludicrously high compared to turnover? Surely they are effectively an SME and can't have huge numbers of central admin staff (ie. not cost of sales)??

Are the directors' salaries disproportionate?
Is it a 'lifestyle company' since over 60% of the company seems to be owned by individuals?

I am thinking of buying some, but am a bit twitchy...
Thanks for any info.

Got to believe these are performing extremely well , the sector is at a peak, great results this morning from Billington steel which is in the building sector and order books seem to be rising at most co's in the sector. Way too cheap imv.

Northern Bear's chart is very interesting . I know that charts are not infallible but they serve as a further incentive to buy or sell, in this case to BUY.GOOD reasons to buy............P/E........6.02PEG......0.16Earnings growth increased 2013...15%. 2014..38%Directors dealing today.Construction on the up.Radmat building products ltd have accrued a 11% holding .The CHART.....9.13.25 and 200 day moving averages are in a strong buy MODE.50 and 150 day moving averages are in a very strong support position. That's good enough for me to keep buying.

Fellow investors I have bought NTBT shares from 10p upwards and have a a large holding. Never fear, they have a long way to go yet. Hold on for a few rewarding years. Happy investing

These were one of the first shares I ever made money on. I was thinking about buying in again a few days ago, looks like I should have done then!

Just for transparency i haven't held these for a while.

Always rated the company and its fundamentals but it is pointless trying to trade these tiny penny shares as there is absolutely no interest in them.

It was Taylor 20 on shareinfo that sparked my interest. Not really had a proper look in the past but like you I like these micro microcaps provided they fit my criteria of solid balance sheet, growing profit, reasonable director salaries/options and negligible BB interest.

NTBR - ticks all my boxes

P/E of 4.5 is way to cheap given the construction sector is on the rise. It's just a very overlooked little known share.

Yes bb2 - well at least I think so

I had a look back at at the last few posts and spotted cfro and Interceptor so I might have guessed that you would be here as well!

Still holding a small amount of these, was reluctant to let them all go...
Hope your review uncovered a stark discount to value S.J.

Market cap 7.5 million and a near double E.V. of 13.5....
