less than a week away before the new shares issued start trading

I applied for my full 530,000 allotment from the open offer, hope the price stays around these levels then I can get out straight away and just about break even

According to the share register no one individual holds that amount - the largest shareholder is approx 1.6 m with part in a nominee account I think you'll find

With only 8.75m shares in issue at the moment, that 2m is over 20% so an RNS due?

I'd be very surprised if they were sells given the price but who would buy 2m?

2M in sells today, you never used to be able to shift these that easy

Several of the people associated with IRB have very good connections in the racing world, and they may well be able to introduce new clients to Newmarket's existing areas of business.

I do think the market will like the story, old established Plc rebuilding it's core business, and i do believe "TRADITIONALIST" Newmarket shareholders will welcome the further involvement of more horseracing businesses into the group but I don't believe they are of a great number and it is too early to see any potential return yet. I guess the fact that the offer is underwritten is a plus so there could be a small premium. There's mention in their offer document about the purchase of a building called Barnham and that this will be disposed of to generate cash but we do not know how soon or at what price. This could add a few coffers to the bottom line and they also say they are looking at other properties too. As for take up I am still undecided at this stage.

And this would seem to be the latter at the moment?

I think the point is, that at the moment there really isn't a business or collection of businesses here that generates enough profit yet. There is however an established PLC company with potential losses, and surely that in its own right has some value. The company needs to aquire good businesses here.

my entitlement of 530,000 shares is showing up in my account now.

do anyone have an opinion as to where the price is going to going after the open offer closes and the shares start trading ? are they going to fall below 1p a share ?

I hold my shares with HSBC and have not received offer documentation yet.

The only goodish thing about the open offer is the chance to buy shares at 1p which will bring my average cost down, the only problem is where the market price will go after the shares start trading, if they stay at these levels I will be able to get rid of my entire holding and make a small profit. I suspect that most PI's will do the same considering how long this has dragged on for and the fact we were kept in the dark most of the time.

Nige3 from the final results :

Board Changes during the period Piers Pottinger, Shane Moloney and Philip Reid stepped down from the Board. I would like to express my thanks to them for their contribution to the Company.

I too have had an offer document rampant with the chance to buy 53 1p shares for every ten I currently own. Will need to look at this v closely before commiting dosh-interesting that one of the prev directors doesn't appear to be in the starting line up only Gadsby Peet, John Carrington and Jonathan Cohen. Where's Reid gone? Any views by anyone much appreciated.

I would say on reflection that the company since the recent incarnation hasn't actually done anything yet and has been acquired (post GoalStriker) loosely as a shell company. I would hope that this is the start of something, the only tradgedy is for those of us who bought shares at 20P in the first instance and have been daft enough not to cut losses as they fell in price. I for one have wasted to date a lot of money here, and have felt pretty trapped, certainly for the last 6 months. Im not sure I'd want to put more money into the new round, but then again maybe its the right time to take a punt. Any opinions?

This company sadly does not inspire, will it do so, thats the real big question here, many that have took the plunge will now be bailing out on any significant rise, but who knows it may still surprise us all yet,

My main concern is management have spent years running co into the ground. What makes us think management have the ability to succeed now? Last chance saloon me thinks. regards

Anyone else had an information pack through?

well iv watched this now for several years now, and see no improvement, save perhaps the price is now that much cheaper 2.5p down from £1.10p 7 yr graph shows a consistant fall,

It gives out the barest of imformation, allmost zero and yet some people have brought large amounts 100k plus, you will note i have not made any recomendation to buy ever, but now wonder where it goes from here.

1p is quite possible here if not complete closure, and if that occurs this will indeed be a classic example of an aim company to avoid.
