Does anyone ever visit this thread.....if so any comments on the proposed tender would be welcome.....does it mean to simple souls like me that shareholders are about to be offered something close to NAV value.....if so does that apply if I buy some shares now?

Yes they are progressively winding this thing up, so the last news announcem, ent was saying that unless they find the bargain of the century, they will not be doing any more buying. It has been a nice recovery stock for the last few months however, so there are qute a few happy bunnies on this board.

pondmill2 Is this trust winding up ? I read somewhere that they were selling their major shareholdings.Do you know if this is true, and if so, over what time period ? The recent news announcements don't seem clear on this.

Interesting update. That means that we will continue to see price improvement up to NAV. As someone once said....money for old rope.

I expect you all saw their portfolio update, but here is their top 10 as of yesterday. Mostly pretty go-go stuff!........ New Opportunities Investment Trust plc announces that its top ten holdings as at 31st December 2004 were as follows:- Alltracel Pharmaceuticals plc Celstone plc Enneurope plc ID Data plc Protherics 6% convertible loan stock Regen Therapeutic plc TEG Environmental plc Treasury Bills United Clearing plc Zincox Resources plc I suspect this lot now represents the bulk of their holdings ......maybe 80% plus?

They may be a bit late getting to my earlier target of 70p by Xmas, but they continue their nice boring performance. Up from 56p two months ago to 68.75p now. That's nearly 25%. I like nice quiet BB's like this one!

Another nice tick-up pondmill. That 65p by Xmas getting ever closer. It would be up over 15% since start of November, wouldn't it? I think I must be the only person making nice steady money on this share.

Hi there, pondmill. I think our 65p by Xmas is looking fairly comfortable, don't you at this nice steady rate of progress. 70p might be a bit ambitious, but perhaps by end Jan? Pondmill.

Maybe 65p by Xmas was too conservative? Now I am thinking 70p. Will pay for skiing.

NAV now 74.29. Very decent performance. I would not be surprised to see price going up in parallel. 65p again by Xmas?
