07/12/2006 13:45 | Back after some lunch and it is looking good! A lot of the buy trades today are reported as unknown or sells. The 50k and 100k after my 23k buy are definitely buys and are what caused the price rise. All looking good. Think I will go away now because I'm in danger of being on here all day. Good luck all! | mattyfromtheblock
07/12/2006 12:00 | I'm in for a starting chunk of 23k. Lets get this back up in the teens. Got a great price at 8.45p aswell! | mattyfromtheblock
07/12/2006 11:55 | Well millsig, u were right that it was good news for holders! Lol. NeutraHealth Plc 07 December 2006 7 December 2006 NEUTRAHEALTH PLC ('the Company') NATIONWIDE DISTRIBUTION OF RETAIL PRODUCTS NeutraHealth is pleased to make the following announcement regarding significant developments in penetrating the UK retail market The Company has reached agreement with Boots the Chemist plc, Waitrose, Harrods, Selfridges, Holland & Barrett, and The Nutri Centre (51% owned by Tesco) resulting in the newly launched TravelGuard range of products being available nationwide. These retailers account for more than half of the VMS market in the UK. The launch of the brand, which started in November, will continue this month in Holland & Barrett and, fitting in with range review timings, will continue to be rolled out across national outlets in early 2007. Negotiations are ongoing with other major retailers. The innovative products, TravelGuard, CabinGuard and SolarGuard, provide an uncompromising combination of science, research and naturally sourced high quality ingredients. They offer the traveller, whether on business or leisure, natural choices to help support and maintain circulatory, gastro-intestinal and skin health whilst travelling and when abroad. Plans for extending the range into further lifestyle products are already well advanced. The Company has also agreed a licensing deal with a well-known health and beauty brand to launch an exciting new range of products for consumers nationwide in first half 2007. In addition group company BioCare Ltd has recently launched BioCare Professional Plus, a unique and sophisticated range providing advanced and innovative formulations for customers and healthcare practitioners. Michael Toxvaerd, Neutrahealth Chief Executive, commented: 'The agreements announced today represent a significant step forward in the product ranges offered across the NeutraHealth group, and underlines the organic growth potential over the next year. Following the disappointing summer, autumn sales have returned to expected levels so the prospects for the group look strong as we move into 2007 and continue on our strategy of acquiring good businesses with growth opportunities.' 06/12/2006 23:05 | I think they are caught up with the general downturn in the high street. In addition they are not really surging forward. Steady growth is just not good enough these days. | kerpen01
06/12/2006 18:12 | Hi Matty, I sold mine yesterday morning. I needed funds for a more tempting prospect and these were top of my list for selling. This should be good news for holders, because with my luck, they usually start going up after I sell! ;-) | millsig
05/12/2006 16:22 | Sharp downturn today to an all-time low share price The price looks very tempting considering the main bad point of the trading statement was the one off costs that they incurred which are not a concern in the long term. With trading supposedly picking up I think I will contact the company to see what is going on as I am now looking to buy a large chunk of shares after all this waiting. I also noticed that the recent grant of share options to Mr James McEuen are only exercisable if the share price is over 20p in two years which must say something for the boards' confidence (unless they just never want the options to be exercised!!). Would love to know what you lot think of the downturn today. | mattyfromtheblock
01/12/2006 21:17 | From Matty's heading: "With proposed profits expected to grow to £1.6m this year and with such a high rate of growth within the company, a Market Cap of £18m is extremely low. The share price hit 25p when the company had a lot less than they do now." From the link in post 12: "The company has released no figures at this time, but for the first half of the year it reported a total turnover of £4.3m (c 6.3m) and operating profit of £0.75m (1.1m). "Gatto said that NeutraHealth has yet to finish building its base of companies from which it will seek to grow organically, and expects to make two or three more acquisitions in the next couple of years." OK, comments like "abortive acquisition" and "weak summer" may scare a few off and lack of news tends to increase downward pressure, but market cap is now a mere £11.4m. Market to book ratio is only 0.85 and one-off costs (see post 11), amount to only £0.35m, compared to cash & securities of £2.28m. Meanwhile, more aquisitions are on the cards. So, things may get worse before they get better (for the share price), but I hope to top before 28 Feb 2007, as I suspect the results won't be as bad as feared. | millsig
31/10/2006 17:44 | 9.5% drop today - 30% drop over 12 months. Maybe a placing is imminent, to fund another aquisition? | millsig
24/10/2006 12:47 | "NeutraHealth initiatives act as shield from summer slump" | millsig
23/10/2006 18:50 | NeutraHealth expects to meet 2007 targets after signs of improved trading LONDON (AFX) - NeutraHealth PLC said that it is confident that it will deliver on 2007 expectations after signs of improved trading. In a trading update, the AIM-listed nutraceutical acquisition firm said it expects second-half sales to mirror those in the first half, unlike in 2005 when sales fell 7 pct in the final half over the first six months. Sales initiatives "are achieving greater success as they mature", said the firm. These initiatives include this month's launch of a TravelGuard range, which the firm hopes to distribute nationwide by the first quarter of 2007. However, the firm said the results for 2006 will include a number of one-off costs: 100,000 stg in employee termination costs at the BioCare unit, 99,000 stg in relocation and set-up costs after the Nutrigold acquisition, and 150,000 stg abortive acquisition costs. Commenting on trading, chief executive Michael Toxvaerd said: "Whilst we are disappointed to report the one-off costs, it is pleasing that our trading business is coming back after a weak summer. We have put in place the building blocks to ensure growth in 2007 and we are confident about the future." Martin Gatto, NeutraHealth chairman, said: "The management team has performed well in overcoming the poor trading conditions in the industry, and the company is well placed to deliver further growth." | millsig
06/8/2006 20:08 | There should be some interest in NUT tomorrow (Monday) following a BUY recommendation in this months Small Company Share Watch, out over the weekend. | blackrabbit
25/7/2006 11:06 | Some good looking interims. Growth is looking very sustainable and the Biocare website is already contributing 4% to the company's bottom line. Plenty of organic growth available and with 100% increase in European exports (mainly with existing clients) it shows that the distributors are coming back for more and more so their must be a healthy market for their products out there. Still on the sidelines as I think this could drop a little soon but I am looking forward to getting into this company and holding! | mattyfromtheblock
25/7/2006 11:02 | NeutraHealth Plc 25 July 2006 25 July 2006 NEUTRAHEALTH PLC ('the Company') 2006 INTERIM RESULTS STATEMENT NeutraHealth Plc, which was admitted to trading on AIM in February 2005 to acquire companies in the nutraceutical industry, today announces its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2006. The Company has had a successful first half of the year, with results in line with our expectations. Following the cornerstone acquisition of BioCare in 2005, the Company made a bolt-on acquisition of Nutrigold in February 2006. These two companies are fully integrated into the NeutraHealth group, and a strong platform for sustainable growth is in place. The Company is confident that initiatives put in place during the last six months will deliver further growth through the second half of the year while the Company continues to strengthen relationships with acquisition targets. Financial Highlights Total turnover £4.3m BioCare sales growth from 2nd Half 2005 9% EBITDA * £1.0m Cash Reserves £1.9m No trading comparatives are presented above as the group's trading activity started in August 2005 with the acquisition of BioCare Limited. * EBITDA excluding share options charge and one off costs of £11,000 incurred on aborted acquisitions, and £99,000 incurred in relocating and integrating Nutrigold into the existing group. Operational Highlights Acquisition of Nutrigold in February 2006 followed by successful integration of operations into existing facilities Launch of BioCare transactional website in April 2006 with 85% of direct consumer orders being new customers 10 new products launched since December Significant interest in BioCare range and Nutrigold Detox products in 15 overseas markets Appointment of 12 nutritionists nationwide to complement the BioCare customer development team BioCare BioCare has had a strong six months after being acquired by NeutraHealth last year. Since the appointment of James McEuen as Managing Director in November 2005, he has successfully implemented many initiatives that have combined to deliver sales growth of 9% for the last six months, compared with the period from July to December 2005. This growth in sales is expected to continue over the next six months as the improvements to the business take full effect. Exports BioCare has always had a strong reputation as a leading brand in the practitioner channel in the UK. The potential to become a leading European brand focussing on practitioners was identified as a key opportunity at the time of acquisition. The company has made progress in developing the European market with exports increasing over 100% year on year predominately through business with existing overseas distributors, but also through a number of new relationships. UK Customer Development A UK Customer Development department has been created, and 12 trained nutritionists have been appointed to provide a nationwide network of sales ambassadors and company advocates to other practitioners and health food stores. These ambassadors will play a crucial role in educating customers about the BioCare range, and initial feedback has been very encouraging. Website BioCare launched its retail website in April 2006 and has had an encouraging response with 85% of all direct consumer orders received so far being placed by new Biocare customers. The internet already accounts for over 4% of monthly revenue, allowing the business to serve an increasing customer base without increasing the number of sales order staff. Product Launches A number of exciting new products have been launched in the last six months. These have included advanced product formulations, and also developments that have focused on delivery of the product. For instance our biggest selling probiotic product Bio-Acidophilus has just been launched both in straws and as a powder with the emphasis on expanding our share of the market for child friendly probiotics. The launch of our innovative lifestyle range is now expected in Autumn this year. We suspended our launch while NeutraHealth pursued retail brand acquisition targets. The deferment of our original plans is expected to cause less than 2% reduction in anticipated growth this year. Following withdrawal from the acquisition processes, we resumed development of a new brand, which is now complete. Discussions with major high street retailers are ongoing and progressing well. Our product launches so far this year include: OmegaBerry A new fatty acid providing omega 3 fatty acids from fish, flavoured with natural berries that makes the product more tasty and attractive to children Omega Oils A new fatty acid providing a full range of omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids from linseed, olive, evening primrose & sesame oils, rather than fish oils. It can be used as an alternative salad dressing VascularGuard Carefully selected antioxidants to help support the healthy function of the cardiovascular system VitaCell An antioxidant supplement to help protect the skin against excessive exposure to the sun Salvesterol A plant extract that is the vital ingredient behind the advice to consume five portions of fruit & vegetables each day Sterolvite Plant extracts to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels MindLinx A synergistic combination of l-glutamine & special probiotics supporting the gut-brain connection Our product development pipeline remains sound with several more launches planned for 2006. Sage Organic BioCare has recently become sole distributor for the Sage Organic product range. Sage has a unique range of food supplements including Health Man, Healthy Woman and Menopause dual packs (combinations of multivitamins and herbal remedies) that are stocked in selected Boots and Waitrose stores in the UK. Nutrigold Nutrigold was acquired in February this year for £500,000 (with an earn out potential of up to a further £300,000). This was identified as a complementary bolt-on acquisition with the opportunity to realise synergies through co-locating order fulfilment and administrative functions. Nutrigold has now been fully integrated into NeutraHealth's facilities in Birmingham and despite this period of change the company has continued to perform to our expectations, delivering sales of £335,000 in the first four months. The operational synergies are being achieved, and Nutrigold management activity is now firmly focussed on driving sales. We are experiencing an increasing interest in the Nutrigold products. In particular the Amanda Hamilton/Nutrigold Detox range is receiving a lot of interest from UK customers and overseas distributors. Outlook NeutraHealth remains committed to making acquisitions that will deliver value to shareholders. In the first half of 2006 this resulted in the acquisition of Nutrigold as well as abortive fees from withdrawing from acquisition processes that failed to meet our value criteria. In the second half of the year the Board will continue to work on building relationships and assessing potential acquisitions that will help deliver the Company's strategic aims while the group continues to deliver strong organic growth through existing and new brands. Michael Toxvaerd, NeutraHealth Chief Executive, commented: 'We are pleased with the group performance for the first half of the year. Strong profitable sales growth has been achieved quickly after acquisition. We expect initiatives launched during the first half of the year to have a significant impact during the second half of the year as well. Cashflow generation from operations remains good, and growth in earnings meets our expectations for this period. We are looking forward to further success this year with our existing businesses as we continue to assess acquisition opportunities.' | mattyfromtheblock
06/7/2006 12:03 | For any of you guys interested in this sector (nutraceuticals and health etc.) then you might fancy a look at Alltracel Pharmaceuticals (AP.) aswell. Released a very upbeat Q2 Trading update this morning and have some exceptional products with which the company is set for some strong organic growth. I must point out that I myself invested in them this morning so I do have an interest in them. Have monitored them for a while and now they are swining into profitability and wih strong growth ahead I think it is the right time to get in (while it is at near low prices). This is not a ramp, just a piece of information for you lot as I'm guessing you (like me) have an interest in this growing sector. Would like to know what you lot think. | mattyfromtheblock
05/7/2006 16:19 | Small downturn today on the bid. I'm being very stingey with my buy in price and want to get in at around 13p. Got no doubts about this company and where it is heading. Interims on July 25th might provide a little boost as the market has a chance to view operations. Just want that 13p though! LOL | mattyfromtheblock
27/6/2006 15:53 | Bought in today, hoping for a good return!! | philipmidgley
23/6/2006 15:12 | I'm sure others will notice it soon - it's top of the sector heatmap on iii at the moment - the same sector as Tesco! | millsig
23/6/2006 14:33 | Thanks millsig, have added it to the header. Surprised this share gets such little attention. I'm sure we will have more interest as people start to realise what the company is all about and how they are going to move forward. | mattyfromtheblock
23/6/2006 14:14 | Matty - thanks for the thread; excellent introduction. It seems NeutraHealth have another website too: www.neutrahealthplc. Perhaps you could add this in the header? Some key dates from the website: 25 July 2006 Interim Results 2006 31 December 2006 Financial year end 06 March 2007 Preliminary announcement for the year ended 31 December 2006 | millsig
20/6/2006 12:42 | I also forgot to mention the management, who are and will be the most important asset in the company's success. All of the directors are extremely experienced and all have their individual stengths that they bring to the company. Martin Gatto is extremely good at turning companies around who are in trouble and has done so before with such companies as British Energy and Somerfield. This means that he will be very careful with the company's money and should not let the company get into a bad financial position. Michael Toxvaerd has worked is many high growth businesses and knows how to implement strategies to grow market share and increase distribution networks. Anthony Good is a public relations specialist which means that the company will treat the customers well, which will increase the company's reputation in the public domain to no end. Raymond Hill has considerable experience as a health food retailer, distributor and mail order operator and so he has considerable knowledge within the sector. Sir Gulam Noon, MBE is an extremely well known and respected business man who will add vast experience to the board. With the acquisitons of BioCare and NutriGold we now have more, successful directors on the board. We have a perfect balance of executive and non-executive directors and so the shareholders' interests will always be at the forefront of every company decision. Many of the board own shares in NUT as well and so will further be acting in our interest. | mattyfromtheblock
20/6/2006 12:22 | Ok I have put up a new thread for this outlining the company fully for any potential new investors. Feel free to start using that thread if preferred. Take care | mattyfromtheblock
20/6/2006 12:10 | NeutraHealth came to the market in February 2005 as a cash shell looking to acquire cash generative companies with positive growth potential. To date they have delivered on exactly what they proposed they would do. In August 2005 they acquired BioCare who are an established developer and distributor of natural healthcare products. In February 2006 they further developed the company by acquiring Nutrigold Limited, which produces a range of nutraceutical products and services for the practitioner market. Both companies are producing a profit and are both fully integrated into the company's Birmingham premises. The Telegraph rated NUT as a 'Buy' under a month ago saying: "Diet supplement specialist Neutra-Health's sales are expected to grow from £2.4m last calendar year to £9.3m this year and profit is expected to grow from £400,000 to £1.6m. The nutraceuticals sector is growing by 10 to 15% a year. The company will launch branded travel products into the retail market later this year." As highlighted in the above paragraph the nutraceuticals sector is growing by 10 to 15% a year. This may well increase as more emphasis is placed on healthy living and vitamin supplementation. NeutraHealth is successfully implementing its strategy of driving consolidation in the industry by acquiring cornerstone investments and making bolt on acquisitions to these. A recent trading update (layed out below) outlines the company's success and growth prospects. Exports up 102% year on year (first four months 06) with the majority into Europe and the Middle East Initial discussions progressing with new distributors in 5 key European markets 9 new products launched since December with specific focus on child friendly applications Significant UK and overseas distributor interest in the Amanda Hamilton / Nutrigold Detox range On-line purchasing website launched with 85% of direct consumer orders new to BioCare Appointment of 12 nutritionists nationwide to complement the BioCare customer development team The best thing is that although the company is looking to consolidate the market further and gain further market share this way, much of their growth will be organic through realisation of new distributors and increased exports. The fact that 85% of customers who ordered on their new online sales website are completely new customers just goes to show how this company is growing. The website has also only been up for 2 months so this figure will grow without a doubt. It is well layed out and very professional and extremely easy to navigate. The website is: www.biocare.co.uk NeutraHealth's website address is as follows: www.neutrahealthplc. With proposed profits expected to grow to £1.6m this year and with such a high rate of growth within the company, a Market Cap of £18m is extremely low. The share price hit 25p when the company had a lot less than they do now. Once it had settled, it still hit 23p. The draw back in price is totally un-founded except for the fact that the company is not on many people's radars yet, but believe me it will be! This could easily get back to 23p and with further consolidation of the sector they will no doubt become a major player. A definite 'Buy and Hold'. | mattyfromtheblock
19/6/2006 14:16 | Just been researching this company this morning. Looks very interesting, especially when I look at the trading today. Going to do more research throughout the day. Would anyone have any objections for me to create a new thread with a more informative header? (No offence hughlss) Just think more recent news and graphs etc. could inspire more readers and therefore more discussion and interest. Thanks a lot, look forward to gettin more info on this company | mattyfromtheblock
01/6/2006 14:13 | Nice to have somehting positive as the rest of portfolio can't seem to find anyhting cheerful about it. Do NUT do a supplement that helps stomach churning I wonder??? | timis1 |
