Nice mention in the SUnday Telegraph today. Could be a nice share price boost this week :)

NeutraHealth

The dietary supplements sector is growing in popularity as consumers become more health conscious; half the population is estim-ated to take vitamin supplements.

Neutra-Health (11.5p) listed on Aim in February last year as a shell company with the intention of acquiring manufacturers in the dietary supplements industry. The company has already made two acquisitions since its February 2005 flotation and is believed to be talking to potential targets about another deal in the coming months.

Acquisitions to date are BioCare, a -Birmingham-based manufacturer and distributor of natural health products, and Nutrigold, a company that makes products such as the "detox in a box" health treatment.

Neutra-Health's sales are expected to grow from £2.4m last calendar year to £9.3m this year, and profit is expected to grow from £400,000 to £1.6m. The nutraceuticals sector is growing by 10 to 15 per cent a year. Impetus will be added by an aging population - which is more likely to take supplements - and EU laws that make it harder for small companies to compete, meaning that consolidation is inevitable. The company will launch branded travel products into the retail market later this year and has just launched a transactional website for BioCare.

It also has a strong board - non-executive directors include Sir Gulam Noon, the curry entrepreneur, and Martin Gatto, a former finance director of Somerfield, the supermarket group. Buy.

Keep an eye on this there is talk of agreeing a large acquisition that would boost the company's range.

I have jumped onboard (in a small way today). This health food fad is just getting bigger and bigger. With ever more pensioners who need their supplements. DYOR. K

Like you hugh, I have no idea why this seems to drift. Just unloved maybe. All that is needed is some good news, and some coverage. Hopefully this will come sooner rather than later

Why no interest in this one?
It could lift off any time now - results can't be far off - their recent announcement was to the effect that they are on target. It's a low-risk sector - which means 'boring' which is perhaps why no-one trades this share.

Neutrahealth bought out BioCare not long ago - a few more acquisitions like that should do wonders for the share price.

This could be a yet to be discovered gem.

The time could be right for investing in Neutrahealth. It appears to have been overlooked and IMO is now worth a look. The recent purchase of BioCare seems to have had little effect and not created even a spark of interest. If this was the first of more acquisitions to come then investors will start to take notice.
NUT is in a good position to consolidate the health food and supplement business which is rather fragmented.
One possible downside is EU legislation regarding these products but I'm sure this has been taken into account, and will be when looking at future acquisitions possibilities.
There is a lot of potential here, and I bought in (at a higher price), on the strength of this potential, and following the lead of Sir Gulam Noon - a 10% shareholder, who is, it would appear, a shrewd businessman.
I would be interested to hear others views on both possible up- and downside to this company.

First aquisition funded primarily by placing at 10.5p, plus more debt and loans. AS usual institutions are the only winners here, with a 50% profit on investment, whilst small share holders get the thin end of the wedge.

This share will go back around 10p until they do an acquisition and depending on the price they pay, no one should be investing in nut? It is tough out there and with market multiple so high it want be easy to by a company below 20 P/E

And with the Sudan 1 food scare FSA will be getting very strict so food sector is under scrutiny.

Bec Gulam Noor had a company which was successfull does not justify double the cash price.

Would you by a bank deposit receipt for double the price?

You got to be NUT case!
