09/5/2006 22:00 | Hmm, 5200 bought and 700 sold, a 4500 reduction in MM stock. I can't remember a day (or series of days) in recent history where the share sales have outnumbered the buys that that amount to enable the MM's to stock their coffers and be able to satisfy such purchases as seen today. As trading is (and has been) SO quiet for such a long time, I find it hard to believe the MM's have had stock sitting around for months/years ? I'm hoping the two biggish buys today have put a hole in someone's stockpile, or even better, has wiped it out, so it'll lead to a tick up tomorrow to try and tempt some sellers to replenish their levels. One problem though... I have the feeling though that as there are so little shares in the company that are not in the hands of the directors and long termers like me, still sitting on big losses, then the tickup will have to be in the region of about £1 - £2 to get sellers who will then be at a break even point. Also, they are against the clock as as soon as these results hit, there could be a lot of people wanting to buy in and they won't be able to satisfy the orders at a price they are currently looking for. This is looking SO good, nearly makes all the years of doom and gloom worth while....well, nearly. Good luck to all, I think we are close. All IMHO of course. Regards, Cheeks | cheeks
09/5/2006 08:14 | Here's hoping. 3000 purchase, circa £5K, although not massive it must be the biggest single purchase for a while. Now we need volume to get the MMs scrabbling around for shares to fill buy orders. Everything is pointing one way, imo Regards, Cheeks | cheeks
09/5/2006 08:07 | Hi Cheeks was getting lonely seem to be talking to myself!! Very excited this is it I think. They have eluded to the results showing a turnaround and profits. It will be the future statement we need to pay heed to which will show where the company is going, higher cetainly than here, could easily be a multibagger from here. Good luck to you. AW | amazon_woman
09/5/2006 08:01 | Cheers AW, getting excited ? you must be sitting on a nice little profit now, congratulations. Yum, yum, looking good. pre-market mark-up, let's see what happens. Cheeks | cheeks
08/5/2006 19:07 | We have news Last para looks interesting , significant advances and increase in turnover and profit last few months!! Don't think Martin Pollins resignation will affect anything he is still there to advise. I would think they are looking for big players now the company is back on track. Roll on results. AW RNS Number:6394C Network Technology PLC 08 May 2006 8 May 2006 Resignation of Non-Executive Director Network Technology PLC announces that, for personal reasons, Martin Pollins has resigned as Non-Executive Director from the Board of Network Technology Plc with effect from 30th April 2006. Martin Pollins will be available to the Board as an advisor at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. The company is actively looking to appoint at least one non-executive director within the next six months. The company has made significant advances in the latest financial period and the last few months reflect this progress both in terms of the company's turnover and profit. | amazon_woman
08/5/2006 15:28 | Facekey back up 15% , small buy and price holding all looking good. AW | amazon_woman
08/5/2006 11:26 | Spotted that but they do seem to go up and down a lot. The price used for the accounts will be as at 31 March 06 and so will show a healthy profit, I guess they are pretty volatile but do not have any information to explain the movements. Can't comment on their share price as do not invest in US. We need some volume but this is holding up which is good for the next leg. AW | amazon_woman
08/5/2006 10:06 | facekey down a shedload | dickdasterdly10000
07/5/2006 18:58 | I think you are right Cheeks. Tomorrow should be exciting, all this lovely news and small movements. I think this will gain momentum now and will be watching with interest from the open as we are now only 1 week (plus ? days) to the results, mid may. They like giving news on a friday so you may be right with the 12th. Good luck all AW | amazon_woman
05/5/2006 14:43 | Could be the start of a pre-results run. Fingers crossed Cheeks | cheeks
05/5/2006 14:32 | yeah.. 1v3 but EVO on the bid..just noticed this too.. saffy.. | safman
05/5/2006 14:30 | Nice tick up on small volume looking even better. Seems to be following Adonis's graph. Results in next 2 weeks. Good luck all. AW | amazon_woman
02/5/2006 09:01 | Morning Cheeks We are lacking volume or this would be moving higher on the news last friday but at least the mms saw the value of the news and moved the share price up. It reached a new recent high. This gives us a higher platform for the next move. I use graphs for direction only and actually think Adonis's graph is very conservative but he does not know the company and is working on TA which he says. We know that there has been lots of good news and I think this will make a sharp move this month. I do not think they gave a date for results, only mid May so they could be anytime from 12th or the week after. I saw what happened on FTO very frustrating but is moving back up. You bought some cheap so I hope you took some profits. I do not always do so as I get greedy but it does protect you from corrections. Good luck AW | amazon_woman
02/5/2006 08:39 | Morning AW, Thanks for posting that from adonis. I'm not a follower of graphs/trends myself - they don't cater for announcements/deals/ I have 12th May written in my diary for results, next Friday, but in the "Financial Calender" statement in Feb, it states "mid May" ...can't remember if I put 2 and 2 together and got "12" or whether I read that date somewhere else, what date are you expecting results ? I hope the NTY results period is better than the FTO one ! Top drawer stuff (incl. new deal) and the share price drops 20% !!!! I suppose the unexpected should always be expected. Good luck, I think we are close. Cheeks | cheeks
30/4/2006 11:51 | Hi Amazon W. here is my thoughts on it. In the limited time I have spent on it. If you are prepared to sit it out £8.00 maybe a good long term target if a good company....There is a good chance that at £3 will stall and retrace. At the moment anything above £5 is speculation as it has not shown the legs for it. Time will tell but I think this is a good one in spite of the retraces. Best of Luck. | andonis
30/4/2006 11:31 | See below Adonis has kindly done a forward projection for NTY, it looks good. AW | amazon_woman
29/4/2006 19:32 | Copied this off the Sharp website. Their revenue for 2005 was £12.2 BILLION. I am surprised at the lack of excitement being shown here this a major contract. I expect they will tell us what it is worth either with the results or maybe sooner which will keep interest levels up. Trading very low when you consider the potential here. Thinking of topping up again even though I have big holding already. AW Sharp Corporation (シャ After the pencil business was destroyed by the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923, the company relocated to Osaka and started designing the first Japanese radio sets. These went on sale in 1925. In 1953 it started production of the first television sets in Japan. Other notable achievements include the world's first all-transistor desktop calculator in 1964 and the first LCD calculator in 1973. LCD technology continues to be a key part of Sharp's product range, in both the component and the consumer-appliance sides of the business. Sharp's logo became iconic between 1982 and 2000 when English football club Manchester United displayed it on their shirts as part of a sponsorship deal. Because much of these 18 years were something of a golden era for the club, with a (coincidental) decline in fortunes happening once Vodafone became the new shirt sponsors in 2000, some fans now term this period - particularly 1993-1999, as The Sharp Years. Core technologies and products include: solar panels, audio-visual entertainment equipment, LCD panels, projectors, photocopiers, microwave ovens, cash registers, CMOS and CCD sensors, and flash memory. Recent products include the ViewCam, the Ultra-Lite notebook PC, the Zaurus personal digital assistant, and the Aquos flat screen television. Net sales for the year 2003/4 were $16.8 billion. The Corporation employs 46,600 staff, of which around half live outside Japan. It operates from 64 bases in 30 countries and its products are distributed in 164 countries worldwide. Many of its regional subsidiaries trade under the name "Sharp Electronics". | amazon_woman
28/4/2006 18:02 | 1653 buys and 1614 sells very strange trading for the rise. Something we do not know? AW | amazon_woman
28/4/2006 13:41 | I reckon we might see a delayed buy later as these small trades do not justify the rise, still happy. The chart shows a break out. Just hope I can keep my bottle through the rises and dips as I think this could easily go over £5 this year. Having held for so long now adding along the way I would like to spend some of it but I am greedy and no way do I want to miss out on this rise. Staying glued to screen today DCD also looking good although some profit takers today, but still small rise. All these new contracts add ons to business etc will be reflected in the results and in particular in the forward statement which will have more effect. AW | amazon_woman
28/4/2006 13:30 | 4 trades in one day so far, is that a record ? ;o) | cheeks
28/4/2006 11:44 | Nice rns.....this is now my 'rising star' share....good luck to all. I've changed the paper file that I keep NTY papers in...cos in 2002 I'd written on it 'Notwork Technology'....I love it when I'm wrong! :-) | mintpenguin
28/4/2006 10:58 | Good that's what we need, to be noticed not many people know about this company. AW | amazon_woman
28/4/2006 10:54 | My view as you know Cheeks is very positive in terms of the company's turnaround but we need the share price to reflect it. Yes I think they are managing news we have had a nice stream of news this year. I expect the results to be very positive and will certainly wait to see how the share price reflects this. Less than 3 weeks now and a nice bit of news to fill in the wait. Lovely start to holiday weekend. I doubt the mms have many shares as there has not been much selling and they are not getting mine. Good luck AW | amazon_woman
28/4/2006 10:53 | #7 on "Top % Gainers" list with an "A" against it, might attract a little interest. Cheeks | cheeks
28/4/2006 10:23 | No volume ? Something going on ? ....just read the announcement, looks good. Is this a managed release of good news in the run up to results ? Only 1818 shares traded, not large volume by any means though. I wonder if mm's actually have any of these shares to trade ? I hope not. Cheeks | cheeks |
