Who's using the special dividend to top up back to pre-consolidation levels?

Ray, I suspect the consolidation was related to share options. If the consolidation was not done, the share price would have fallen by the value of the special, and options that much less valuable. I would rather management were not penalised for distributing surplus capital, so am happy with the consolidation, albeit is seems a bit pointless to PIs.

I agree with you the recent KPIs are strong, if they are sustained, the shares should be okay.

Re the share consolidation, let's say you have 15,000 shares today. When they're consolidated tomorrow you will have 14,000 but you get a special dividend of 0.68p per share, which is £102. You could then at the present price level buy 1,000 shares for £85. So, whilst it's not a very attractive deal, neither is it something to get too upset about. Unlike the share price itself. I appreciate those calculations ignore any tax and dealing costs.

Tax changes have hammered this company

Can't really blame the company for that

I have no position in this stock

They took our shares off us by doing the meaningless consolidation, and now the share price have taken a dive, and are falling. Excellent work BOD. Thank you so much !!

The share price is getting back into the area of very tempting, they're at the price
i first bought in at, so a top up could be on the cards..

We are now below the price prior to the 2015 results. Well done BOD is right. I think a share buyback program would have been better than their 14 for 15 deal "special" dividend. Well I guess we either sit patiently for another 3 months or sell our shares as I don't see much movement in the summer months.

I can never understand this consolidation, 14 shares for every 15 held. what's the point of that, it doesn't make sense. Look what it has done to the SP, Back on a downer yet again ?? Well done BOD.

Looks like this might have to fall to bring in bargain hunters. Without news the market gets bored, gets suspicious, gets impatient, then rumours start again on the belize deal and then no one wants them.

At least the Yield is decent while we wait some kind of corporate update(good hopefully).

I can't see what would motivate anyone to buy now until the Interim Results in September, unless there's a good trading update in the meantime.

Well I'm not happy with how this all unfolded. The "special" dividend really wasn't so special since the share price just got knocked down by the equivalent amount. Well hopefully they will communicate with a PR statement soon about operations going very well over the past couple of months. Would like to see this at least back at 11p before YE.

Special Dividend & Associated Share Consolidation -

NetPlay TV plc (AIM: NPT), the interactive gaming company, announces that the record date, following approval of all resolutions at the Company's annual general meeting on 12 May 2016, for the special dividend and associated share consolidation is close of business today. The terms of the special dividend and share consolidation are set out in the AGM notice and summarised below.

Special dividend
Shareholders will receive a special dividend of 0.68 pence per existing ordinary share. Payment will be made to shareholders who are on the register of members at 6.00pm today. The special dividend will be paid to shareholders on 9 June 2016.

Share consolidation
The payment of the special dividend is accompanied by a consolidation of the Company's ordinary issued share capital. The consolidation will replace every 15 existing ordinary shares of 1 pence each with 14 new ordinary shares of 11/14 pence each ("New Ordinary Shares"). Fractional entitlements arising from the share consolidation will be aggregated and sold in the market as soon as practicable on behalf of the relevant shareholders. The net proceeds of the sale, after the deduction of expenses of the sale, are expected to be paid in due proportion to the relevant shareholders, except that individual amounts of £3 or less will retained by the Company.

As all ordinary shares will be consolidated, each shareholder's shareholding as a proportion of the total number of issued ordinary shares in the share capital of the Company will be the same immediately before and after the implementation of the share consolidation (save in respect of fractional entitlements).

Looks like you may be right about the overhang. I guess I should have waited to buy at 9p....or unfortunately maybe lower.
