Hi yep the Isle of man connection with Neo yet again.
I wonder why he sold down his holding from 10 to 6%.
I still reckon it may have been their 6% that changed hands, we will see in the next few days.

Seems steady enough to me. Loss of 6.1 mill last year made up from 2.3 mill in severance pay, 6.2 mill on the new system. if it wasnt for that they'd have cleared a profit. who knows, one day the UIGEA may be repealed then this will be a $2 share again :D

I wonder if that was Northumberland Investments Ltd selling their last 6% on Friday.

I agree that Dermot Desmond should ensure more discipline in terms on capital allocation re new projects and acquisitions.

Isn't it too early to pass judgement on the Newteller platform, given it's only been up and running for a few months. Doesn't this quote from the interims speak to this point??:

"This situation should change now Newteller is live and we expect to see the revenue benefits from new products in 2011."

My concern is that Newteller took so long that it may be redundant as better organised competition will have moved on.

Also we now have a better management (Mayhew and Butcher) in place with much better corporate governance and who don't have the emotional attachment to the gaming business and will be much better at chasing non gambling business.

In terms of turnaround, they are doing the right stuff: resetting cost base and stemming the fall in profits. The next stage (and I hear your scepticism on this point) is start getting top line growth.

Oldtown .. are you saying that this new system that they've just installed and which is supposedly going to take out loads of cost, is a waste of money!?

I agree about poor management in the past!

Poor management in the past, wasting 6 million on a new software system.
Declining gaming revenue and underwhelming results all leave me feeling that come the next update it will be more of the same.
Lots of RNS about this contract win or other but ACTUAL continued fall in sales and margin lay behind the fluff.

You maybe right .. I just happen to think that the shares are silly cheap and that the business has a lot of strategic value .. If Tesco Bank could use it's own payment system to process on line payments, instead of paying away fees to a clearing bank?? .. Amazon have set up their own payment system with their own credit cards and as more commerce goes over the net, a large company may want to also own the payments .. And I think you'll see the shares IF they can show any topline growth.

The problem with shares like NEO is that they completely ignore any rally in the market and then fall more than the market on any market re-trace.
Yet again NEO has completely missed this years rally and with a market retrace due this could well be back in the 40's before long.
The share is manipulated down to attract sellers whilst all along the big holders increase their stakes.

They look like matched trades (at 60 and 59.91 respc.)for 600k and 536,965 respectively. There is a spare trade each though. What does the C mean against each trade?

Daniel Stewart also knocked a penny of this year's forecast and now at 7p; which is surprising given that management kept on talking about margin uplift. So, it must be that revenues are still falling.

I've been in this share for 2 years, having bought at 31p and more at 55p. Like all turn arounds, they take some while. I think that previous management got rich all too easily and so that when the growth halted, it exposed many failings within the company. New management and new processes and, more importantly, getting of the old compensation scheme - management bonus - which seemed to be % of gross profit, regardless of growth, should all help.

I can't help thinking that the downside is limited from current levels because this business has strategic/industrial value.

Not an expert in this share; used to own Neteller and got out before the crash... on the conference call the MD said that the new platform didn't kick in until August and so couldn't impact the latest results.

The broad story seemed to be one of simplification of business processes and products, whilst reducing headcount [controlling costs].

Seemed to me to 'sound like' a steady progress story, following some fundamental changes, unless
a) massive change in US gambling legislation - they have the right history and/or
b) corporate activity - they are in the right sector.
