Why was it always going to be suspended today? Did I miss an RNS?

Indeed, I suspect there is no one out there myself. Still, I'd like a summer surprise!

Sorry scalpface - no idea, unless it was a third party (or agents thereof) who thought there'd be a higher offer coming. I thought that Cairn (or agents thereof) were disallowed to buy at higher than the offer price (as part of the takeover code - but not really sure - just what I've picked up on some of these threads...). I sold out a week or two after the "offer" when it seemed (to me) obvious there'd be no other offer (as I posted on here at the time), but I was in a similar situation with the EO-PMO SoA, (and also with the current DEO-PMG one) when I asked my i-net broker (i-dealing) about voting....

I was not aware of that, thanks Steve73...any idea on the big purchases above the offer price or will that just be agents buying on behalf of Cairn?

scalpface - many of the internet dealing accounts only give you an option to vote on a conventional t/o. If you want(ed) to vote on a SoA (or any AGM resolutions) then you need to advise them separately (and maybe even pay an additional fee).

forgive my inexperience but the II's buying around 4.60 are gonna make a loss right? And is this a done deal as there is no voting option for this on my account? Thanks

To a lesser extent, Spaniards lives on too for me in SQZ, and the small Celtic Sea interests in PVR. May buy some CNE for the rest, but undecided for now.

Indeed, thanks for the BB Steel - looks like I'm going to head to WZR, TPl and more GKP for my sins with my winnings here.
