Board Changes

Nature Group PLC (AIM:NGR), the provider of port reception facilities and waste treatment solutions for the oil, marine and process industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Maarten Smits as Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from 16 November 2015.

Mr Smits is a qualified accountant with over 20 years' experience in the sector, having started his career with PwC in The Hague in 1995 before joining KPMG and ING Barings. He joins Nature from Royal Dutch Shell where he served in various positions since 2004, including as a controller of early stage LNG projects in the Middle East and North Africa, finance manager of Shell Energy Europe BV and, most recently, as head of finance of Shell Pension Funds.

Mr Smits replaces Kieron Becerra, who has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Group since 2011 and who will remain as an adviser to the executive management on a consultancy basis in order to ensure an orderly transition. Accordingly, following Mr Smits' appointment, the Group's executive and key management functions will be centralised in its Rotterdam headquarters, which the Board believes will provide further operational efficiency.
