15/5/2012 08:14 | Registered in the Cayman Islands. Cash and Assets still well above current mk cap. Safe bet in these turbulent times, and sharp management. Have a look at the picture's on the front page at the official signing of CNOOC agreement. This was a mega mega deal. Small float, loose stock gets mopped up quickly. Alberta Coal will be either sold or floated. It was going to float for circa $100m. When conditions improve probably get the push. Just shows even on this asset alone NSN is woefully undervalued. | kiwimonk

13/4/2012 16:16 | Wrong Band flex NSN still own 42% of UEP. CNOOC bought into PNG Energy Ltd (a UEP subsidiary), they will pay for all expenditure on exploration. CNOOC own 70% of PNG Energy we UEP 30%. This was a BIG deal. Watch this space! | kiwimonk
26/3/2012 10:41 | So CNOOC take 70% of UEP for nil consideration but pay for exploration, if it finds commercial amounts of oil Uep then have to pay their own way. NSN's stake falls well below 15%, lots of dilution at UEP for very little in return at the moment. | bandflex

27/2/2012 08:28 | Odd is'nt it, but maybe its similar to the majors who walked away from oil finds in the 70's and 80's which are now proving very good investments for small independents only this time its coal. | bandflex
26/2/2012 13:08 | Alberta Coal Corporation Announcement Overview of the Business Fox Creek Coal Project The Fox Creek Coal Project constitutes six coal leases, covering an area of 22,688 ha, which are held through the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Fox Creek Coal Inc. The leases grant to the holder the exclusive right to win, work and recover coal from the leased area. Historically, extensive drilling of over more than 21,000m has been completed over the lease area by previous operators including Shell and Esso, which has enabled a sub-bituminous C coal resource of approximately 777 million measured and indicated tonnes (using the CIM mineral resource classifications), to be defined within the Fox Creek Coal Project, comprised of: 2 Sub-bituminous C Resources as of 23 January 2012 Tonnes Measured 431,073 Indicated 345,898 Total Measured and Indicated 776,971 Inferred 92,617 so why did SHELL & ESSO walk away when these coal leases are one of the best in the world ?? and why where those leases so cheap ?? | b2l
24/2/2012 18:31 | The link below highlights the potential of Fox Creek.(From Post 855) | tigluck
24/2/2012 16:12 | If they achieve £30m and you add in the 42% stake in UEP (about £12m today), those two investments equate to £42m against the current market cap. of £25m. Of course it remains to be seen if they get £30m but they do seem serious about it, and if UEP could pull their finger out and update on the PNG license prospect it may go higher too. The secret of success is to be in before the herd, at least thats what I keep telling myself, it might even come true oneday. | bandflex |
