05/3/2017 08:56 | Right, I see now thank you. I'm still a bit dubious since the section of the article about TCL doesn't appear to repeat or extend the titles claim. I would love to see this confirmed. | poopsun
05/3/2017 08:29 | poopsun - The first and second sentences on that link: - "Nanoco announced recently that it would be showcasing two prototype QD TVs respectively from Philips and Hisense at CES 2017, January 5-8 in Las Vegas. while partner TCL is presenting its COMMERCIALIZED QD TV at the annual consumer electronic show for the first time. All the TVs use Nanoco patented QD film technology manufactured by Wah Hong." - Note use of the words 'commercialised QD TV'. And very interestingly 'All the TVs (TCLs)use Nanoco patented QD film'. 'All' includes the new X2 and X3. If this is true (and again I mean if, it's just what the article says) then we have a sales and revenue pipeline, and a good one at that. | sd_anon
05/3/2017 08:22 | SD_ All I can see written in that article is "developmental", "prototype". Ami I missing something? Can you point me down the subsequent trail to find evidence of commercialised product? | poopsun
05/3/2017 08:18 | If we assume LEDInside are correct (and I mean if) then Minsky the answer to the question you posed about the upcoming interims in post 10363 is (a)the revenue pipeline has begun. I'd be interested in any opinions on that acticle, are they really saying that both the TCL X2 and X3 are using Nanoco dots? Seems to be what they are saying but I do question if that's true or not. I very much hope it is but am yet to be entirely convinced. | sd_anon
05/3/2017 08:16 | OK sd_anon. Thank you. Have just been skipping through all the posts recently as too many to keep up with and none of any great substance. Here is your link for anyone who may be interested: | lauders
05/3/2017 08:08 | Lauders - See post 10374 and the subsequant trail. I should say that LEDInside isn't the exactly a great source for such news so how much credance you give it is up to you. I was just posting the link I think it's relevant to the recent BB conversations about actual sales vs sampling and potential revenue this year. | sd_anon
05/3/2017 07:44 | Do you have a link to this commercial product please sd_anon? | lauders
05/3/2017 07:30 | I clearly didn’t explain my point very well. I am well aware of CES17, the announcements made at the time and the dodgy hotel room photos. At the time I believe all 3 TVs shown were prototypes (unless I misremember that was what was said at time??). The link I posted referred to 2 prototypes and one COMMERCIALISED PRODUCT which is being supplied by WH. In the past few days this BB has been debating whether or not Nanoco has any actual commercial sales and revenues or if it’s all just sampling etc. Well here is, at least part of, the answer. According to the link I posted, a TV containing Nanoco dots is now commercially available. Shall I say that again? COMMERCIALISED PRODUCT ON THE MARKET CONTAINING NANOCO DOTS. Dunno about you guys but isn’t that what we’ve all been waiting for?!? For years!?! Good luck to TCL, I hope they sell millions. And here’s to the (hopefully long) list of other OEMs who will soon be joining them. | sd_anon
04/3/2017 22:13 | sd - post 9109 and following, and look at the twitter comments | minsky
04/3/2017 17:26 | Jeeeezzz sd_anon you obviously missed the photos from CES..... | firminator1
04/3/2017 17:08 | Looks finished | 1birddog
04/3/2017 16:31 | Still zero guarantee of any sales. LG had a prototype TV with Nanoco dots in couple of years back, but it never went beyond that stage. Nanoco have a saleable product, they need to demonstrate it has a market. Information from the company since last Summer has been very poor, with little to no updates or any sign of solid commercial deals. | andycapped
04/3/2017 16:12 | "Nanoco announced recently that it would be showcasing two prototype QD TVs respectively from Philips and Hisense at CES 2017, January 5-8 in Las Vegas. while partner TCL is presenting its commercialized QD TV at the annual consumer electronic show for the first time. 04/3/2017 01:00 | Nanoco have fallen short of their projected earnings in what, three years? If they do it again this year, then they're going to be in trouble and will need to go out with the begging bowl. I think that really is the bottom line. If at the end of the month Nanoco are able to demonstrate good levels of cash rolling in, enough to suggest that the seven million predicted will materialize, then I think the share price will recover to the levels we saw in the Summer of 2016 and steadily increase from there. If not, then the share is likely to go the other direction. | andycapped
04/3/2017 00:12 | agreed but nano must have given the brokers figures on which to make the projection, they cannot just invent them. | notimpressed
04/3/2017 00:05 | these are broker forecasts not (necessarily) Nanoco's you have to take these forecasts with a pinch of salt as recently as October 2015 several brokers had targets of 260-270p for the company | minsky
03/3/2017 23:47 | if??? nano do achieve their projected earnings of 7.8 million for 2017, that would or certainly should trigger a sharp rise in the sp, given they are projecting 21.9 mil for 2018. which would put them well into the black. But again there is the nagging doubt, driven by share price drifting, which asks, if the above is true, surely ii's would have prior knowledge, and be sucking in any surplus stock, driving the price north at a rapid rate of knots. | notimpressed
03/3/2017 21:54 | My google alerts for nanoco. Stating new price target but can't find out a price if it is up or down. States strong buy. Can anyone help | mrplay
03/3/2017 20:33 | Someone asked where i got the project dates from 27/march - hxxp://www.4-traders | mrplay
03/3/2017 18:16 | another late buy of 100k not to be sniffed at | roadster750
03/3/2017 17:53 | It will be B all the way. Hoping for A. Lots of drivel about how NOW they can keep us more up to date. How now they are doing better than ever, and how they won't need any more funding. Then all of a sudden the share price with be manipulated, it will shoot upwards. People will think something big is happening finally and big buys will take place. Price gets to 75p then the news of fund raising at 50-60p price. As they are so close to signing with the big S or the big L. share price sinks back down to 30. More angry bb posts and Mike will be quiet for the next 6 months. New range of PI's invest at 30p and don't understand what the problem is. | mrplay
03/3/2017 17:43 | Is that a 50/50 on a or b minsky :-)) | euroto
03/3/2017 17:28 | In the interims we will either be told: a) Wah Hong, Merck or Dow have sold dots/film to actual TV manufacturers, so the revenue pipeline has begun. b) no sales have been made yet, but there are great prospects for H2 (even if there arent any prospects). Maybe the market is assuming (b) based on past experience and the fact it will take time for Merck and Wah Hong to tie down quality and price with their customers. The IP sets a floor for the price. | minsky
03/3/2017 17:07 | If the company was on the point of disintegration we would have had a revenue warning. | petepitstop |
