NBR --Heavens above;
someone's actually bought some of these shares!

Does anybody know if they've found a diamond yet?

NBR---Judy --Me too! -in fact ,I mercilessly ridiculed this idea in the past on ADFVN and presumed the idea had been quietly sidelined....

[Incidentally,I'd also virtually written off this investment as a several thousand pound DEAD LOSS!

LOL!}

Unfortunately, friends ,who used to be resident in Namibia ,have since returned to UK and I have no private source, on the ground as it were, to call on for info.
Just where this [new to me] story about health and safety issues emanates from, I should be keen to learn .

Can anyone advise?

The only news story that I am know of is, that in the future they may try to expand to extract diamonds from offshore.

TB-----Yes , for as I understood the position when the mining ceased , the relatively new equipment, that was funded by the cash provided by us initial PIs had virtually 'worn out' owing due to the harsh and unusually wet conditions [flooding ]in the last couple of years.

This ,and the low diamond yield ,NOT the apparant lapse of the health safety precautions causing deaths in adjacent works ,was the reason for the hiatus.

This reason came as a complete surprise to me ,I must admit!

Have I missed some widely known announcement /news story?

SC - directors have been supporting NBR and will continue to do so as they hold a large equity position. There may well be a small fundraising although have to recall that dirs converted at a minimum of 3.5p per share and 6.5p per share.

NBR --Yes, but ,where's the the cash to run the mine coming from?

[He asked as a rhetorical question....]

Fully diluted with the conversions leaves NBR with a Market cap of around 1.6million - Directors have put in a fair wad in this - Value created will be in the equity here -

Management have converted 90% of the debt into equity at 6.25p and 3.5p - premiums to current share price - What they need however is for their mine to come back online - (alnost debt-free) - perhaps other projects in addition can be considered - ?

NBR --AS Lord Dodgy-Knees has converted his unsecured loan to a shareholding [and diluted the share price by a half] perhaps he can loan some more cash to actually find some diamonds and get some money back for us poor PI Mugs?

Some large buys going through from earlier. Could it be that these are going to do some sort of reversal into a oil or gold play. We have all seen what happwns when these Microcaps do that.
