24/5/2016 08:07 | While on one level it does seem contradictory to do a buy back at 3.6 followed by a placing at 2.55, the more important thing is to look at whether there has been any dilution. The placing is at a just smidgen below the current share price. Dilution is less than half a percent, equivalent to about 0.0135p per share. So as an existing shareholder not involved in the placing I am pleased that the company has been able to raise this many funds with so little dilution. It is a huge sign of confidence in the company going forwards. | panamul
18/5/2016 16:56 | Quite right. MXC has a profitable advisory business in addition to the portfolio. | panamul
17/5/2016 12:27 | I see... I'd been assuming that the Market (Makers) would value the Company higher than its Portfolio value based on the general "good Business" it has been doing quite consistently | pottermagic2310
10/5/2016 10:41 | Should note that the Portfolio was valued at £73m at 29 February. Currently the portfolio would be valued somewhat lower than that as most of their investee companies SPs have gone down since then. | cottoner
10/5/2016 10:38 | Excellent and more to come over the next 12 months hopefully. The Market Cap was about £84m yesterday... is that still right based on these Results and the general uplift in "good Business" ? | pottermagic2310
10/5/2016 09:22 | Nice positive update, better to be in this, than most oilies at the mo. Imo | withoutt
06/5/2016 11:46 | They should sell their underperforming investment in CTP before the profit is wiped out and use the £12 mill raised to re invest elsewhere or pay out a special divi :) Makes sense you dont hold shares forever best to cash them in before they lose more ground. | chimers
06/5/2016 11:06 | I will definitely be taking another look if the share price drops that low.... be rude not to. | pottermagic2310
06/5/2016 10:25 | 86m mkt cap still looks way too high here will be worth a look at the 1.5-2p range | mr roper
05/5/2016 15:31 | I'm not expecting any bad News about MXCP... it is what it is and does what it does. Ultimately, it's all about if any of the Companies invested in 'hit the big time', to the benefit of all of us Shareholders. Sometimes, things may simply trickle along slowly but surely, which isn't anything I would worry about | pottermagic2310
05/5/2016 12:47 | For every 1 poster there is about 50 lurkers who never post on ADVFN. Thats what ADVFN say anyway. | chimers
05/5/2016 12:35 | According to the main page, there are 64 people on here who rate this as a buy and none rate as hold or sell yet the price is consistently falling since the beginning of the year. Is it one seller baling out or is there something not right? Last year the interims were released on 7th May. Does anyone know when they will be released this year? The website says only that it will be in May. If anyone can give their views, I would be very grateful Thanks | joesoap3

17/4/2016 10:29 | DYOR and be patient. The impatient are the sustenance for the rampers/derampers. | twirl
13/4/2016 15:11 | 3.6p tender looking attractive now. Those ramping this back in Feb looking a tad wrong with their timing. | patientcapital
06/4/2016 16:06 | Sure is doing well is this,lol | albert3591
06/4/2016 10:07 | Nothing going to happen here,only rampers but not yet. | albert3591
05/3/2016 13:12 | As I understand recent events, the Company has distributed Profits/Cash via a Share buy-back, involving 22million shares at 3.6p each, resulting in a reduction of PIs and/or institutional Shareholders and an increased % held by Directors. Key Directors have then sold ~11million back into the Market at 3.6p each, diluting their holding, possibly back to pre-Tender levels? Seems like normal Business to me, especially as Fiscal Year End approaches and the Directors are possibly looking to secure some Cash personally for other Investments. | pottermagic2310 |
