MWB Business Exchange, which listed on AIM in December 2005, said its full-year pretax profit almost tripled on a 23 pct hike in sales.

Its pretax profit rose to 7.8 mln stg in the year to end-Dec from 2.7 mln stg in the comparable 12 month period, with sales 82.3 mln stg, up from 67.1 mln stg.

It declared a maiden dividend of 1.79 pence.

'We believe we have the right business model in place to enable us to continue growing the business and to deliver enhanced shareholder value both in the short and the medium term,' said its chairman, Richard Balfour-Lynn.
