|Yes ram, and not forgetting the usual caveats re gearing, prior charges and the like. But what struck me was the way the stated NAV had marched up sharply over the last week or so (Till Friday at any rate). I'd wondered whether there had been a significant portfolio change, since the USD had not moved all that much.
A welcome move whatever the underlying......|
|had got left behind a bit.
remember that should knock 4p off of quoted nav to take account of fair value debt.|
|Quite a performer in the last few days. Even with an xd date included.|
|DOH... ! Thank you!|
|Went ex-div by 1.625p this morning.|
|NAV going nicely - why sudden drop in price?|
|NAV now up 62% since 1/12/03|
Don't get carried away, it is not the outrageous bargain you think. As timbo pointed out, have a look at the JDT thread where it is discussed more in depth.
Basically if NAV falls by 8.2% between now and MAR 05, you will lose ALL of your capital, and will get possibly 8p in dividends.
Of course, if NAV goes up 10% you could nearly double your money.
This is a highly geared investment. Do your homework before you buy.
|Div paid quarterly - Jan, April, July, Oct
Last year Total 1.625 * 4 = 6.5
6.5/20 (share price) = 32.5% Div !!!!|
