Why now? Seems an odd time of year for the increase. Probably at least a month away from the interims.

A bit more detail in the report this year but I think they could take a leaf out of Graingers report

relative to the market this is beginning to look very cheap - also when the p/e is low single figures it is worth recalculating the underlying monthly uplift, e.g. a p/e of 4 means the b/s increases in value by 2% pcm......

Agreed, mw8156. But I think even if you're ungenerous in your assumptions they still look cheap. I don't agree with Fred's methodology and the NAV discount it comes up with, but I'm happy enough with my purchase.

Stew
Since they dont break down property sales income by date of purchase it seems very difficult to make anything of the figures at all.

Hi Freddy. Re my post 13 Nov, just revisited the BB today. Not been sulking. I just had a quick look on the day of the announcement, and they did not quite pass my tests. Sound company though. Instead I just stuffed more cash into BBC. You are right in saying the MV looks much more than the NAV. However their good earnings derive from the difference between historical cost and current cost. Revalue the whole stock and you would get a big discount to NAV but you would also substantially reduce earnings. There is also StewJames question about the depth of the difference. However the gross profit margin is certainly very impressive. Mmm, I might just get a set of accounts...

mw8156, not so...they do have a bit of useful info about the rental/property disposal income split.

They are very well paid but not (quite) excessively.

Unfortunately the report and accounts wont help since there is but little info there apart from the size of the Directors' holdings and their sizeable pay packets! Nevertheless it seems cheaply rated.

Bought in this AM. Haven't done my analysis yet (still waiting for accounts) but fed up with the price moving against me. There's enough detail in the RNS alone to show it's undervalued, though not sure if I agree with Fred about by how much!
