16/3/2017 12:33 | Yup - reported as a sell but was a buy as I was just about to buy it myself! Will have to wait to see if any sellers remain and price is pushed down again :) | gleach23
16/3/2017 12:26 | And there you have it. 250000 buy on nex which has wiped out the buy limits now. Only £2000 available at full ask | mikeh30
16/3/2017 12:07 | Just gives people the opportunity to build a holding if they want. Probably a couple of traders selling from last week | mikeh30
16/3/2017 11:46 | Still the odd seller about. | jakleeds
16/3/2017 11:26 | Plenty of work | mikeh30
16/3/2017 10:39 | I still believe a bid will come at some point."""The Directors of the Group have, since announcing their intention on 24 April 2015 to remove approximately GBP3m of LoanNotes that were originally granted to Graham Read and Andy Collins in October 2008 from issue have taken advice from specialist advisors and are satisfied that they now found a way of achieving their objective that will not have an adverse effect on the Company. The Directors accordingly announce that at the AGM of the Company to be held at 11.00 a.m. on 29 June 2016 at the offices of DAC Beachcroft LLP, 100 Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1BN, resolutions will be proposed to give the Company and the Directors authority to the convert all or part of the remaining Loan Notes into founder shares of GBP1 each ("Founder Shares"). The Founder Shares will not be quoted on any exchange or carry a right to vote or to receive a dividend. The shares will carry the right to receive, collectively first an amount equal to the amount of Loan Notes swapped into Founder Shares by which the consideration arising on a sale by shareholders in Group attributable to Connaught Access Flooring Limited and/or Mountfield Building Group Limited exceeds GBP20m.""" | mikeh30
16/3/2017 10:20 | Buy small amounts regularly here seems to work | mikeh30
16/3/2017 10:17 | Checking my records for 2013/14, I actually made a loss first time round. The spread was a factor turning what should have been a breakeven result into a small loss. Feel more confident this time with a situation where it looks like all the ducks are nicely lined up. | interceptor2
16/3/2017 10:07 | You are too generous mikeh30, I had better not list my many mistakes here. :o( I seem to be invested in many companies that are in a turnaround situation at present, including MOGP where my conviction is becoming stronger. Thanks jakleeds for the link, I hadn't known of the 5 year plan to grow revenues to £50.0m, which if achieved would see impressive bottom line growth. Using the last interim net margins as a guide at 5% would mean profit after tax of £2.5m and EPS of o.98p. Maybe unfair to use interim margins, so will be interested to see margins at the full year. £50.0m is an ambitious target but since Adrian Sainsbury took charge in 2015 he has restructured the problem division MBG which is now profitable and Connaught continues to trade extremely strongly within a buoyant market as reported in the last recent trading update. Trading statements don't come much more upbeat than that. I noted that you are tempted to throw the kitchen sink at this investment mikeh30, well the directors kitchen sinked the results in June 2015, and since then each set of results have become stronger culminating in a much improved interim result and an upbeat trading update. My only problem is how to build a decent position here before the results in June. | interceptor2
16/3/2017 10:01 | Yes and they both sold this at what turned out to be the right time. I only wish I'd followed them out...it's been a long three years. All about to change now though. New CEO, more profitable strategy, massively reduced overheads, improving margins, new big contract wins and more to come, new marketing development director appointed. Also the big city of London contract was initially worth £5.5million but it seems they squeezed an extra £0.5m out of it - will be very interested to see the numbers in June. | jakleeds
16/3/2017 08:53 | Good to have IC2 and CFRO here too - seen both on several shares right at the bottom. Savvy investors | mikeh30
16/3/2017 08:51 | I'm so tempted to throw the kitchen sink at this :) | mikeh30
15/3/2017 16:07 | Online Bid quote chugging along nicely - now at 1.362p | gleach23
15/3/2017 15:59 | May take a while for my patience to be fully rewarded, but I'm with Mike in that the first stop is 3p. | jakleeds
15/3/2017 15:34 | Your patience is on the verge of being rewarded !! | king kong dong
15/3/2017 15:00 | Tick tock ... | jakleeds
15/3/2017 14:19 | Article from a couple of years ago but worth a read still... | jakleeds
14/3/2017 18:09 | Well done cfro. I've been averaging down here for the last three years !! Having said that I was lucky enough to buy a good chunk last year at under a penny. I suspect I was also partly responsible for the 100% rise that then followed !! | jakleeds
14/3/2017 17:49 | Even though as a rule I very rarely average down, I do have one exception, and that is in the early stages after I buy a new stock, as long as it is planned for and I have only bought a modest amount with targets in mind to increase my holding at higher or lower prices. My conviction in MOGPs prospects are high, so averaging down here is likely. | interceptor2
14/3/2017 17:42 | And 1.47p being paid for just 50,000 shares. You can normally trade well inside the spread... Think i might know to whom's pocket that sneaky 50k went jakleeds. ;-) | cfro
14/3/2017 13:50 | https://www.construc | mikeh30
14/3/2017 11:20 | And 1.47p being paid for just 50,000 shares. You can normally trade well inside the spread... | jakleeds
14/3/2017 11:14 | Very encouraging to see the online Bid quote going over 1.3p this morning which suggests the traders/sellers have dried up, leaving the share price reacting to the smallest trades. | gleach23 |
