04/7/2016 13:51 | Modern Water plc (AIM:MWG), the owner of leading water technologies for the production of fresh water and monitoring of water quality, has recently completed the installation of its first Microtox® Continuous Toxicity Monitors (CTM) in Poland. The client, Aquanet S.A. operates water and wastewater treatment plants for the city of Poznań, located in Western Poland and commissioned the installation of two Microtox® CTMs at their drinking water treatment plant. The two Microtox® CTM's are being used on-site to continuously monitor the quality of the water abstracted at two different water intakes on the Warta river. The Microtox® CTM provides rapid and early warning of contamination of thousands ofknown chemicals. It is unique in its field as it is able to give an instant indication of water health by taking two samples per second, significantly reducing false alarms as well as being able to detect brief events. This allows Aquanet to ensure that the quality of its water intake is reliable and should an alarm be triggered by a contamination event, that containment measures can quickly be put in place. Doug Workman, President of the Monitoring division, said "We are extremely pleased to be working with Aquanet, to help the company ensure safe drinking water for over half a millionpeople in the city of Poznań. Our Polish distributor, Tigret, together with our European Sales Manager have worked hard to secure these sales in this new territory for the Microtox® CTM and we hope that this will be the first installation of many in Poland, especially once other water companies witness the benefits the Microtox® CTM can bring to a water treatment operation. | tidy 2
30/6/2016 09:38 | well good luck timber, lets see what MWG can pull out of the hat! | ryan83
22/6/2016 14:11 | I'm afraid I just see the continuation of cash burn that we've seen since the initial flotation, with refinancing along the way. I've been commenting on it for many years now. Nothing to date has really come from any of the commercial deals that they have had in place, some for some considerable time now. The technology was always going to take time to be accepted, if at all, and it's certainly not going to suddenly provide a rush of new contracts. It will take many more years, if at all. It's sad to me, as a past investor for many years, but I'm just glad that I got out when I did. That said, I hope I'm proved wrong, but, IMHO, just don't see it. | timberwolf
22/6/2016 11:50 | either way, H2 2016 is almost here. Are MWG going to re position the goalposts for contract awards, again? I guess so but sitting waiting as they are funded at current burn rate till sometime in 2017 and hopefully they can finally get some sizeable contracts over the line. It may be that we have to wait for meaningful news to come from the the commercial deals that they have in India and Saudi. | ryan83
22/6/2016 08:01 | Fat IPO Group directors are so busy awarding themselves bonuses, they probably haven't even noticed the share price here at MWG. | bamboo2
22/6/2016 07:43 | This was one of IPO'S highest value holdings, they need some help too looking at the current total portfolio valuation. Headers on on the list also. There must be a reason they continue to hold. | p1nkfish
22/6/2016 07:40 | Poster on another board has said 28th June is the date for Gibraltar budget meeting. Totally agree NC. | p1nkfish
22/6/2016 07:32 | Although for a number of listed companies the share price / valuation does not reflect the performance of the operating business, unfortunately with MWG the correlation cannot be dismissed and is due, in part, to the ongoing cash burn. News of the finalIsation of the Gib contract would be good but currently I am unaware of a likely date although with the referendum out the way by tomorrow this will be one blocker out of the road. We need news of increased sales from the monitoring division given the new sales team impetus. News with any commercial basis from the JV's with Bilfinger etc will not be likely until at least the end of this year. There is turnaround potential given they have enough cash until early / mid 2017 but the clock is ticking. I hold. | norbert colon
21/6/2016 17:25 | Looks like the sp, as largely expected, is heading back down to 5.00 or below. | timberwolf
16/6/2016 16:50 | They've had many events this last quarter and I wonder if they were already costed or will add to what was a reduced quartely burn rate and push it up. Tudor have unloaded but their is still selling. | p1nkfish
16/6/2016 09:42 | Totally agreed p1nkfish. This new management team are showing all the signs that they should act in this way. | argylerich
16/6/2016 07:51 | AR, yes. Annual sales add to that, not lumpy infrastructure where the profit contribution and funding method are unknown. Hope they breakdown any large contracts in news release to indicate full costs and possible return to make contribution easier to see clearly. | p1nkfish
16/6/2016 07:31 | After being in or around this share for 8 years now, to break even would be a starting point for me, or, with this new management team, after the fundraising which seems almost inevitable. | argylerich
15/6/2016 23:43 | Mkt Cap to Annual Sales of 1 or less would be a good catalyst. Annual Sales rather than booked business that is not yet billed. | p1nkfish
15/6/2016 20:11 | Thanks, so may I ask what price, or catalyst you are looking for to increase your holding? | trotterstrading
15/6/2016 14:52 | I hold a very small amount to keep them on my watch list. | p1nkfish
14/6/2016 19:06 | Massive late print now wonder this got taken down.. should see a nice bounce tomorrow.. Tudor out?Pink you didn't answer my question, do you hold here or just acting as an observer? | trotterstrading
14/6/2016 17:33 | Indian news is end of year. Bilfinger likewise. Both have to collect results first. | p1nkfish
14/6/2016 17:20 | Pink, can't work out if you are holder here, or just observer? | trotterstrading
14/6/2016 17:19 | Pink. If we get good news on the JV and Progress on India then the share price will respond. Sellers will get mopped up no problem. Like I said news will dictate | trotterstrading
14/6/2016 16:38 | Tudor Group must thank you no doubt. It's their legacy portfolio and a far few others to dump too on strength so expect any uptick to hit selling pressure. A long wait is most likely needed. | p1nkfish
14/6/2016 15:55 | Iooks like a pump and dump job, sad really for 10-15% gain. Some would have got burned if they bought in the 7's but I actually think it's decent value at these levels. Like many AIM companies the newsflow will dictate the share price in weeks to come. | trotterstrading
14/6/2016 14:39 | A few fingers burnt, lessons perhaps learnt. | p1nkfish
14/6/2016 14:13 | Well, that lasted a long time! ;-) | timberwolf |
