19/5/2016 22:07 | We know they have problems. Just curious as to who will be handling the finance function now or will they farm it out? | p1nkfish
19/5/2016 15:33 | p1nkfish. I have just checked their website and you may be correct - He is not there as a member of the management team - Suggest you give them a phone call. However still listed as Financial Controller on Bloomberg: BUT when clicking on Google search link www.modernwater.com/ Peter Bristow Group Financial Controller. Peter Bristow leads the finance team for Modern Water. He has a wide range of experience across a number of finance ... Results negative suggestion - Page cannot found Unfortunately the page you're looking for cannot be found, please use the links on the left to browse the website. However as not a director I do not think the company is under any requirement to advise the market - However (to me) the big quesion is "Did he jump or was he pushed" and in either case could there be an implication of problems. | pugugly
19/5/2016 12:58 | hope I'm wrong but there was a tweet that peter bristow had been removed from team photos on website, no rns though. might just be a web update? if he has gone they should inform the market. | p1nkfish
10/5/2016 06:50 | Thanks chaps. Very informative. | spacedust
08/5/2016 14:37 | Lack of director buys is a concern, no debt but the nose is still pointing towards the ground but rate of decent declined. Get the picture. | p1nkfish
08/5/2016 14:33 | Give it a 3-5 hold and be prepared for dilution with cash on hand along the way. Excellent tech let down by poor management, picking wrong markets early on, and over paying for acquisitions. I believe it can come good for £50m market cap but a long hard haul. News due of mid east packaged de-sal and china. Good partners in Bilfinger and Advent Envirocare. Gibraltar delayed by Gov and debt and not guaranteed to proceed with MWG whatever you might read. Monitoring tech is good and timely for US. Lots going for it but very poor prior management and jury still out as they have delivered very little. Money runs out 2017 at this burn rate. Will need to fund big demands on a case by case. Gamble but with a x10 upside potential. Good luck. | p1nkfish
08/5/2016 08:36 | Morning. I came across this tiddler just now having read an article. Any heads up would be a great help here. I'm thinking of investing here. Not trading but for a two year hold | spacedust
18/4/2016 08:59 | News due soon, before mid year on the packaged desal according to the last set of results. Chinese partner news also due. Gib - no idea but there was a meeting in Beijing last week to discuss a Gib fund but more for renewables probably thab wastewater. However, Northumbrian is owned by the Chinese. Wait and wait. | p1nkfish
07/4/2016 10:38 | This might go the UBI route. Market price was 39p and today they diluted by approx > 33% at 25p !! Main person running the show not taking part but in June they will meet to discuss incentive plan ie) dole out shares as a REWARD FOR FAILURE. MWG have some of these hallmarks too. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 16:59 | I do see it turning. India has legislated for discharge and FO hasn't been used in MSF much in the past and there is a market ready and waiting and partner that has installed and maintained a hell of a lot of MSF that is coming up for refurb. The containersied units should result in sales by mid 2016. Gibraltar is the serial damp squib and goes to show why the industrial market is better when the kit can save energy/money or help meet Gov regulations. I am becoming more positive and this is bombed out. Would just like to see the other 2 on the BoD put their hands in their pockets. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 16:49 | I've popped back after several months and it's good to see the many recent posts on the thread and I've digested most of what's been said and the recent news. IMHO, I just can't see this company surviving much longer in it's present form. I've posted over many years now on the relentless cash burn and, as others have stated, I can see the pretty inevitable further requirement for financing soon. Again, as others have posted, the desalination market potential is, indeed, huge, but, let's be honest, this has been discussed ad infinitum here, for years now, and has resulted in naught for MWG. All of the desalination trials and further projects that MWG have got involved in, to date, have been, frankly, minuscule, in relation to the total market. Their several publicised relationships with overseas agents has brought nothing to the table. Good luck to all those that believe that there is still potential in this company, but, to be honest, I'm just happy that I got out when I did. | timberwolf
06/4/2016 16:41 | Poor show that Schumacher and Wilson don't show on the registry. The other 2 BoD members do as did previous board members that are no longer shown on the website as they are not at the company now and were < 3%. Undertsandable they are not shown. Wilson and Schumacher should take the plunge for a few bob. What they are telling us is that this is not the bottom and/or they don't intend to hang around and/or they see no future value increase. Poor show indeed. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 16:33 | Always two sides to a deal ;-) Hopefully it will have cleared any 'overhang'. | argylerich
06/4/2016 16:13 | That 30K was about 2 x £15K2. Wonder if it might be ISA money for the long term. First day of new tax year. Husband and wife with one doing the buying for both. Yes - seller - but someone thought it worth buying. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 16:11 | I think the containerised desal and chinese partner will arrive before Gibraltar. Looks like the previous head of the Americas has gone with the arrival of the new monitoring VP over there. Since US sales were so abyssmal he may have been encouraged like the Chairman. The picture looks more promising now than it has for years and they have dumped a lot of dead wood. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 13:20 | The way the shares are being priced p1nkfish it would be more appropriate to say that we have a big seller around and have done for a while, but someone has just bet over £30k on a bounce soon. Personally I'm still wagering that there will be a small bounce when the Gib contract is confirmed and they'll use that to sort a funding round. We'll see. Either way we all hope it's a good long term buy, just a question of at what price. | argylerich
06/4/2016 12:55 | With the right news on a sale or 2 for the containerised uits and this could double quite quickly. Interesting that major holders list hasn't changed much at all and the bigger holders sticking with it. What would you think if I said I think this could 5x in < 3years. Market Cap wise. That would still be < £30M. £30M-£40 How much of the costs of the Gib work have already been expensed in terms of design etc and people down there to negotiate. This is sunk cost now. Shouldn't happen twice. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 12:40 | Someone wants out someone wants in. 2 x £15K2 + others. Could it be an ISA? New insider and > 3% holders info on the web dated 6th April 2016. | p1nkfish
06/4/2016 11:06 | A lot of shares just changed hands! | argylerich
31/3/2016 16:26 | Marafiq use MSF for desal. Think about it! | p1nkfish
31/3/2016 16:22 | Second part relates to water and shows Bilfinger reach. Dated 29th March 2016. | p1nkfish
22/3/2016 10:50 | Until there is more financing security I find it hard to see this exhibiting much price appreciation. Too much uncertainty? | p1nkfish
21/3/2016 09:34 | Care will be needed with the Gib financing. Easy to see net cash in bank (heading to zero in Q2/3 2017) become net borrowings much sooner and the assets used as security. Bit of a conundrum and at the same time there are sales for tax losses. | p1nkfish |
