Down on small volume last week,up on small volume today.
I'm not sure if we'll see a trading update in Feb this week or not. They seem to be a bit erratic looking at a longer term view of trading updates.

But, on a comparison with many peers, MBO looks very cheap indeed. Will evaluate my holding on next results.

up or down, not really bothered, but i am happy to see that its being traded. months went by without anything being bought or sold, last few weeks, finally a market has taken place

Taking a bit of a hit on pretty low volumes, but whilst sells are greater than buys this is bound to be the case. Be nice to see a trading update next week, if the timing is in line with last year.

Does any investor here have contact with the management team? Any idea when we next might get a trading report?

2x revenue is purported to be fair value. I've no idea by whom, but it's been mentioned on the Sync and GBO boards I believe.

2 x revenue for MBO is a multibagger from here for MBO, but let me qualify that by stating that I'm an ardent believer in valuing companies by earnings ratios rather than multiples of revenue.

Just over £5M market cap. What would a buyout price be? And why do you think there is no question on it happening?

there is no question we will get bought out.
the question is by who

paypoint would benefit from mbo
some mobile operators would benefit big time form mbo

I was looking at the six month chart. Not sure what the specifics are for C+H just a casual observation.

Looking for a move into profit in the next statement, had hoped this would have occured in the last statement, but the growth was still there.

Will be interesting to see what the presence in the plantations will add, on the surface could make quite a difference if migrant workers start to use the service.

Do you mean the 5 year chart - cup and handle? Or the short term chart?
I think a textbook C+H formation should see the share price on the rise before the cup forms, but I can't quite remember. Either way, the long term chart is pretty interesting. I've only a small stake here, but happy to see how it plays out longer term. Potentially, this could be a vastly undervalued share compared to some of its peers operating in a similar space.

Up 15% today, climbing nicely ahead of the year end report from the company.

Stockopedia seem to do a lot of CEO interviews, will they also be doing one with MBO? Possibly following the full year trading update in February?

SOLA delisted here, listed in US. Last year sola stocks took a double-hit, over supply + demand weakening. Its about 3p now I think. Perhaps unfair to include SOLA in above list as they didn't really do anything wrong, although it was pretty impossible to figure out what was going on - although that was down to my ignorance about solar in general. The others just did odd stuff - worst obviously RCG by a long way.

Any reason for the sudden rise?

I know they were making good profits before yes.
My issue is simply with the likely p/e once they are back in profit.

I was going to have a punt, but GNG, RCG, CHNS, SOLA all put me off (fortunately managed a minor overall profit by exiting quick) and the one I'm still in TAIH which still looks like it will never be rated like some of the Western based growth stocks. (Probably because they messed up European approval and had their manufacturing process halted) Plus there's the risk of simply not having enough knowledge on the bb's to really know what is happening on the ground with your stock.

I imagine floating was to raise capital to expand.

If mbo could raise money again they would be able to expand alot quicker than they are.

just for the record mbo only made a loss of £60,000 first half

whats that a PE of about 4.5 in a high growth sector which sees companies trading at PE 15++

Examples of Asian companies on p/e's of more than 5 for any length of time please...
