25/1/2003 14:52 | Mineweb story about some evidence that has apparently been fabricated by the Greenpeace tendency trying to stop Esquel. The public hearing is at the end of March. | captain swing
23/11/2002 23:58 | Captain Swing, I too had been following MDG. MDG tried to block this story but appear to have been unable to do so. We can only conclude that much in it is true. I now try to avoid South American gold plays since I have seen far too many of them transmute gold into dust. Maybe there is value out there but if we can't trust the figures then how will, as investors, ever know? | blackdeath
23/11/2002 23:46 | This is a Mineweb story about Meridian that has caused quite a stir. Implying that its producing mine El Penon is being operated in a way that is questionable from the point of shareholder value, as I understand it. This is not a ramp or de-ramp thread. I hold no position in MDG. However, I had been intending to buy some on a pull back which seemed likely. Then came this story. There is some seemingly informed comment on the Yahoo MDG board, mainly supportive of the company's position. There was a round table discussion, link I think from (will check) This is how to get to the round table -- it's a bit complicated So -- is there anything in the Mineweb story, or has it created an opportunity? | captain swing |
