12/3/2012 07:37 | IS THIS STILL ON THE TABLE ? Misys PLC (MSY.LN) Monday confirmed it had received a rival approach from U.S. buyout firm Vista Equity Partners, just two weeks after the financial software company said it was in merger talks with Swiss peer Temenos Group AG (TEMN.EB). "Misys confirms that it has received an approach from Vista Equity Partners consisting of a non-binding indicative proposal to acquire the entire outstanding share capital of Misys for cash that may or may not lead to an offer being made," the company said. Misys was responding to a news report that Vista had offered GBP1.2 billion for the company, considerably less than the GBP1.4 billion reportedly offered by U.S. rival Fidelity National Financial Inc. (FNF) last summer, and arguably less attractive to the all-share offer from Temenos. Vista Equity Partners has until close of business March 19 to make a firm offer or walk away | amt

12/3/2012 07:18 | Didnt want them anyway, we want a cash offer which is now the most likely outcome | tom111
12/3/2012 07:11 | Temenos reserves the right to announce an offer or possible offer or make or participate in an offer or possible offer for Misys or to take any other action permitted pursuant to the Code, within the next six months, including in the event that: i) the Board of Misys agrees; or ii) a third party announces a firm intention to make an offer for Misys; or | abcd1234

08/3/2012 20:02 | Seems a complete lack of interest here but the way i look at it is there is a 40p plus upside from here and we've already jumped 30p in a week. all in mho | tom111

06/3/2012 19:16 | One of the bidders already has 20% holding imho they are the favourites | tom111
06/3/2012 19:02 | I see the deadline has been extended until 5pm 2nd April. It seems that no-one wants to be the first to show their hand. | eaaxs06

05/3/2012 14:36 | The largest share holder must have an idea what is acceptable and the wording of the statement was positive | tom111
05/3/2012 14:22 | it would be nice if an institution were to buy a few million in the market. Where is that guy Andrew bure [sic] when you need him... imho | targatarga
05/3/2012 14:18 | The largest share holder is involved they know whats going on im sticking withit gla | tom111
05/3/2012 13:22 | I'm just a bit worried that no-one actually wants Misys, but they're all too scared to let someone else have it. I've got a nasty feeling that if one backs out, they'll all run away, and we'll be left in the same situation as with Fidelity, last summer. It's still very strange the share price hasn't acted more positively, especially with three suitors chasing it? | eaaxs06
05/3/2012 07:45 | VERY NICE £4 PLUS could happen looks very positive this time imo. | tom111 |
