I've just read the statement from CVC/ValueAct, that they're still interested and might (or might not) put a bid in for the company.

I've a feeling this is sabre rattling on the part of ValueAct, and they're trying to push the price up, simply to get a decent price for the large shareholding they've already built up.

Still, it would be good if they did come in, offering 375p maybe, to try and draw out a knock-out bid of 400p.

PS; Great to see that we weren't all going mad, thinking the 320-330 price was too cheap. Good luck to everyone.

Talks with FIS at a rumoured 400p fell apart in last summers market collapse with the onset of the greek problems , their is plenty of time for them to return in what is now a better market for raising bank finance , this is not over yet.

and you know that because... say this morning you phoned your buddies J W Ubben, Value Act Capital Master and they confirmed they will vote in favor ?

a lot of schemes have failed in the past because of resistance from large institutional holders. sadly vista dont have the cash to make a general cash offer.
