08/9/2016 15:32 | Seems the alert investor could have made 150p per share today by selling this morning and buying back in the afternoon. Why didn't I think of that? Can only assume the business must be still doing nicely to go for this one. | ringer12
08/9/2016 15:02 | to be financed by the issue of ADRs | phillis
08/9/2016 14:55 | Aye, falling back quickly. Maybe some folks saw the timetable and don't want to wait a year for the return of capital. Profit sliced myself. Expected timetable of principal events -- Announcement of the Merger: 7 September 2016 -- Publication of the Micro Focus shareholder circular : H1 CY2017 -- Micro Focus shareholder meeting to approve the Merger: H1 CY2017 -- Publication of the Enlarged Group prospectus: Q3 CY2017 -- Completion of the Merger: Q3 CY2017 | enami

08/9/2016 14:10 | Will they have a rights issue or placing? They should give shareholders a chance this time. Rather than the last 3 placings to the big boys. | montyhedge

08/9/2016 09:25 | Seems to be my lucky day.Holding both NG and Micro. Coincidence NG also up today related to their US interests. Needless to say I am not complaining. By the way I just noticed that the Heading above the Bulletin Board makes interesting reading over the years. Worth a read. | ringer12

08/9/2016 09:05 | I see £35 third quarter 2017 | montyhedge
08/9/2016 08:49 | Possibly, my take is a base-line. At $1.35/GBP my calcs say about £22 If they double margins on current HP Software revenue next year's upside is a minimum £35 at $1.35. | sogoesit
08/9/2016 08:49 | Should be £25 | montyhedge
08/9/2016 08:37 | A quick take: Carve-out earnings at 30 Oct 2015 look like $319m. MCRO's earnings at 30 Apr 2016 were $334m (adjusted). So it looks like the 50/50 split in HPE Software reflects earnings: reasonable. From the get-go at "todays" earnings it's a wash (double the combined earnings and, about, double the number of shares for the combined entity). It's all in the future; the premium being priced in today (for the time being!) of about 275p is a look forward to earnings enhancement and margin improvement from the MCRO management to bring margins upto their 46%+/- performance from HP's 21%. Plus growth. Or exuberance!! Current shareholders get a "bonus" payout of £1.25/share approx. ($1.68) for all the effort!!! All imv | sogoesit
08/9/2016 08:17 | Happy days, Micro is my largest holding. Well done montyhedge. Crack open the champagne. | ben value
08/9/2016 07:58 | So they are doing a merger hence the price has shot up...Americans know how to do deals... | diku |
