Ed because I believe in research and I know this company is struggling I will be doubling my short position here for the results on Monday.

All I want is 20pc say 250p.

Lets see if the bulls take it on today to give me a nice entry(so to speak).

VOLVO,

Agree on the curiosity, why MPI is enjoying such a fat P/E, although some might say that is what you might expect of a quality business in hard times - the investment community is confident of eventual recovery.

The CEO of a smaller recruiter, who has watched closely what is going on at MPI, told me early this year it will be a minimum £5 share in the medium to longer term, he was wholly confident of that. Should have bought!

LOL, they never did in Barclays at 50p - targeted 40p.

They were also bearish on Cape, advising 'sell' - was it down at about 20p - and the thing is now over 200p.

Talk about teenage scribblers.

Thanks for the information Volvo. Must admit i am a long term holder and in around 180's, but i am suprised that this has not fallen and showed strenght straight away afer the Adecco news this morning. May be tempted to short..

With Adecco buying Srings announced today any hope of the Adecco/Page deal is gone.

Lets see if the markets will just walk through these results like it has before.

Eventually it will retrace to 200p and below.

Adecco are already 6pc down today.

How MPI is not following is not logical, but it will eventually.

The first sign on european recuitors comes at 7am from Adecco in its 3 month statement.

One thing talking about recovery another it actually happens.

No one is paying the likes of Michael Page when all they are thinking about is making staff redundant.

Adecco results should read awful.

Read the results and just duplicate for MPI results next week on the 17th.It is now valued at least 20pc above any analysts figure and is a 1 billion pound company very likely to make a loss this year.

Crazy bid rumours!!!!!!!

You must be joking of course.

We are in the worst depression since the thirties with all recruitors suffering and you think that an offer of over 1 billion pounds for a company making less than 12m pounds is good business.

I would like the low 200's again to pick up more but probably unlikely.
I would like to go short myself, but with Adecco sniffing around again i daren't
