I am confised by the following from the accounts.......


4. Intangible assets - goodwill

Since 31 December 2000, goodwill has been adjusted to reflect a reduction in
the deferred consideration payable in respect of the acquisition of Failsafe
Computing Limited from #500,000 to #150,000, additional bad debt provisions of
#44,000 in respect of pre-acquisition debt outstanding within one of the
subsidiaries acquired with Troy Holdings "

Am i missing something or has Failsafe turned to a dog? Why else reduce the deferred consideration. I dont think its nice if an early acqn like this has gone wrong so quick!!!

I think you should hold on to your shares. I have 30,000 and making a loss. The CEO put out an up-beat trading statement. Wait for the next set of results, you may be surprised.

I'm about to try and learn Metastock inside out and had thought about starting a Metatock formulae thread once I'm more competent. Should take a couple of months.

Anyone here use the Metastock explorer for signal generation?

If so have you found any other than the standard ones to be useful?

In particular I'm looking for a MACD sell signal generator, or if anyone has any useful tips on how to program your own in I'd appreciate it.

Time will tell. I believe my fears will be warranted in the long term. The double whammy is that with a declining share price MET cant do many more deals, certainly not quality ones, so its acqusitive strategy is up the spout whichever which way one looks at it.

Keep seeing a 10p share price target mentioned, in todays markets even this 60% fall may be optimistic.
