15/2/2017 08:28 | Excuse the typos | jailbird
14/2/2017 22:34 | Well written and agree highly with your points, it's a screaming buy, but many investors want to see the hard facts laid out in front of them, I understand that, but I prefer to read between the lines and get in early, low 5p is that point, I don't know how fast the share will rise when all is clear, but I hate chasing a share price, so I'm in heavy now and feel totally chilled and confident, the clues are all there if you look | johnybigarms1
14/2/2017 21:35 | We had the sign off back in october not directly rns'd but reported in local papers. Take it your being sarcastic about the pi's not piling in when the first set of results is released Peter? Can you imagine if they have been at full ramp up since end dec/jan What i am pretty sure of is that whatever information was given to the ii's was enough for them to stump up another £8 million pretty quickly and to introduce blackrock who took almost 4% of the company in one swoop who you know would have carried out heavy dd add to that Mr ayre's purchase of £250k back in january, if there was a chance they were going to miss the repayment in March surely he would have waited not suggesting he knows anything we don't. Obviously there is a risk in the philipinnes with the political situation but after reading up on some of the practices that have been going on i can see the point lopez is trying to make, however the flipside is that mining contributes 1.5% of the gdp and employs over 250k nationals, so to say the philipinnes could live without mining is ridiculous. FCF themselves have been nominated for a number of awards and been recognised for their work in the local community so im pretty relaxed about this side of things. Add to that the new broker and couple of snippets in mags etc word seems to be slowly spreading, think a lot of people have been biding their time and waiting for the optimum inflection point and with the distressed seller since january and volumes we have seen appears to be now. The fact is the news we are waiting for could come anytime but we should at the latest know by March end what the score is, my biggest holding in my pf now so Mr Holzberger better deliver all imo and dyor of course. | achillesheel
14/2/2017 18:10 | If you read the RNS you will see that the first gold sale RNS confirms that sign off was achieved, read the interim results RNS too. | blueclyde
14/2/2017 15:04 | Just had another 16400. Only a matter of time before I see a nice return. | giantpeach2
14/2/2017 14:12 | final results are out normally around 25 may. so they will have to feed me some info then. sleveen well there is method in your plane. you can put a buy order in first thing if the news is good. one thing is for sure, there won't be a lot of pi's piling in here on the day of the news. | peterpowell21
14/2/2017 12:58 | BlueThat is just speculation, reading in between the lines of the RNS'The Co clearly have not reported directly about gold sales and sign offs and this is because it is still pending. The is no reason not to report positive news like this.. it seems all about when and not if.When is the $1000 dollar question.I am not expecting any news until this overhang has cleared | jailbird
14/2/2017 12:42 | Please note this is just my take and not fact. The RNSs are very cryptic. I took the first gold sale to mean that they have got the required sign off to now sell the gold commercially which they did do.Reading the previous RNSs the already sold about 20k of gold last year which was the limit they could do as the had not got the commercial sale sign off.Production ops have been in ramp up mode for over a year but project sign off delayed by a number of factors. As per the last ops RNS it said ramp up was going soundly so I expect them to be currently producing and selling close to the 100,000 ounces of gold currently. The company haven't been very good at promoting themselves so the question I guess is when they do announce production figures ect how will the share price react. | blueclyde
14/2/2017 11:02 | Alternatively, it's the late bird that misses the 30-50% drop in sp, should there be a failure to repay the $4.5m on 31.3.2017. Note I am not saying that MTL will miss it. Having been caught out once or twice, I'd rather pay 10-20% more for positive confirmation than lose 30% on negative news. Just a different investment strategy. GLA. | sleveen
14/2/2017 08:50 | As always, when confirmation is made of good progress, the chance of getting in at these prices may have gone, the early bird catches the worm | johnybigarms1
14/2/2017 07:36 | Not yet, I want confirmation of production and sales are going well. If not then the debt repayment on 31.3.2017 could be missed? | sleveen
14/2/2017 07:33 | sleveen have you bought in now? if you have in my opinion you have got in at a great price. | peterpowell21
13/2/2017 18:43 | RNS 19/12/2016. Cheers. Just an ops update and gold sales update. | sleveen
13/2/2017 17:57 | They already have rescheduled the repayments as listed in the 2016 news releases from their website, 1st payment due end of march | johnybigarms1
13/2/2017 17:18 | probably will take off once confirmation of an extension to the $15m capital repayment die Dec 2016 is announced, along with an operations update. | sleveen
11/2/2017 09:12 | Laptop, if you mean an operational update, any time now. Full year results are to 31 Dec and half year to 30 June. If we're running at anywhere near full design specification and at around target gold recovery rate, then the loan repayments shouldn't be a problem at all. | lord badger
10/2/2017 23:01 | Thanks for sharing that jailbird. So we are safer as a Goldie and ticking all the boxes by the sounds of it.Does anyone know when we should get an update or quarterly or half year results?Do u reckon we should have enough money from production to pay first loan repayment? | laptop15
10/2/2017 22:30 | Philippines is a massive producer of Nickel. So mainly Nickel mines have been hit hard with quite a few shutdown and suspended. | jailbird
10/2/2017 21:22 | Good post lord badger, very informative :)As you have said many times before it's just a case of waiting and the good times will come! | laptop15
10/2/2017 19:43 | Pat, I think there were a number of posts around the situation in the Philippines last summer when a sensationalist article on MTL appeared on Share Prophets. My personal take on the situation is in post 820 and I think there are comments from others at around this time. The company has been very single minded and thorough in its approach to the environment and the local community and has won a number of awards during early site prep phase. Take a look at the Corporate Responsibility section of the MTL web site for a detailed look. The government aren't going to shut down all mining because they need the income. But they are shutting down mines that are damaging the environment and don't have the support of or do little or nothing for local communities. The key for me is in what Ian Holzberger said at last year's AGM: Runruno standards are high even by domestic Australian standards. | lord badger
10/2/2017 18:54 | Gold ticking up again. | blueclyde |
