Thanks LBI'm thinking of buying some MTLI like the fact that there has been a large seller and this has depressed the share price whilst gold has ralliedWe have had many cash calls and I don't think we will need any more in the short term..I also like the fact the director put in 250kSo my main worry(only) is Philippines where they have taken a dislike to miningCan some on be so kind as to update me with the latest situation there regarding the political and economic circumstances CheersPat

Peter, with respect, could you stop using 'us' in your posts. You do not represent my views on a range of issues and I don't appreciate you invoking 'us' when responding to newbie members of this board when they are asking perfectly legitimate questions, especially when your tone is less then gracious.

I feel sure you will check my previous posts to find my use of 'us' but the context, if you find any, will have been very different.

We are here to share and learn from each other not vilify and put down. Please keep it polite otherwise people with genuine insight and meaningful information will get fed up and take flight and that would be a loss for all of 'us'.

so you ask us what the situation is like in the Philippines.
Then ten minutes latter you are answering your own question?
you tell us, you seem to want to.

well i would say it was a buy, more of the sellers shares being move on.
but as usual we have no real idea.
could do with more of these big buys/sells just to get transfer done and dusted.

can't understand why anyone would want to be out of gold now.

Blueclyde, I hope you are right as I bought more shares today. I've been in and out of this share a bit but now I'm in to stay :)Yes the lack of announcements is frustrating but the amount of trading activity is encouraging. The the big director buys last month was what convinced me. Surely he wouldn't buy all those shares if things weren't going well.Good luck all

Yes frustrating the lack of news regarding the ops. An RNS in November does mention that ramp up is progressing soundly to designed through puts i.e. 100k ounces per year. Once the RNS does come out that production levels have been achieved there is going to be a really interesting situation that will play out one of two ways;1) The price gaps up in the open to 10p then moves quickly to 15p2) The price opens up slightly due to the stock on being on the radar and you get a once in a blue moon opportunity to buy before it becomes widely known.Just my take.

Wiseacre, thank you for your informative post.

Re Blackrock …… Nutraco Nominees are listed on the Capital Structure page of MTL website with a 3.91% holding (as at 30/11/16). Nutraco are the nominee or custodial holders for Blackrock.

CF Ruffer Gold Fund's January monthly report states that they have “reduced the beta of the fund to the gold price by increasing our cash position.”

Everything about AIM is wrong.
i mean late reported sells/buys.
the fact that they cant(well can but dont want to) report if a buy is a buy or a sell is a sell.
we are kept in the dark in every way possible.
talk about the market being rigged.
we unwashed dont stand a chance really.
we are gambling on red or black with our eyes covered and the table knowing what the outcome is before they roll the dice.

MEIJIMAN

This info is price sensitive news that has been held back.
weekly gold sales for example.
it should have been released.
you can see over the last month with the volume, people are in the know.
we know there is a seller and a buyer. but we have not had a holdings RNS?
People are getting in cheap here in the confusion that is being made from the seller/buyer.i know it give's PI's also a chance to get in cheap. but if you had the info that is know by the management its a lot easier to buy millions than it is if you only have a gut feeling.
Take the NED and his £250,000 buy, do you really think he bought that amount without knowing the facts. Yes it would be insider trading, but who the hell cares, this is AIM.
They let forward selling go on every day. They let CEO lie in RNS.
After all, we are only the great unwashed.

You have answered your own question. If they had they would have been deluged with subsequent daily emails asking about progress/updates. I can only imagine there are some wrinkles still to iron out though agree it does seem to be a long time without proper news.

well even yesterdays low volume was higher than months ago.
even with the main holders holding around 75% there are still a lot held by PI'S or are in free float. There are around 500m shares open to the market, yet the volume is and has been for years very very low.why?
Missed target, dilution, take over attempt, years behind schedule and a falling share price .
hell whats not to like about that lot.
WE have been informed for the last six months that production is being ramped up.
The news flow to PI's is as bad as it could get here.
Saying that the main holders who must be well underwater with there investment here, can not be happy with the share price They may be being kept up to date, but if the news is not released to the market the share price is not going to go up.
well back under my stone.
