10/10/2016 16:32 | MTR stake was £450k I think some at 0.5 and more at 1.0 at the time so they're probably in profit on paper with today's news. Funny how quick things can turn around. | paleje

10/10/2016 13:41 | Hi gaaston. Good to hear you haven't sold out of EUA, although I would have understood if you did. It's been a tough old time there. It needs PJ to join the board IMO. | doshdabbler
10/10/2016 13:26 | dosh and yes: I am in EUA and it should be good, been a long wait though. I am not altering my portfolio in any way at the moment. Sure, am sticking with MTR. | gaaston
10/10/2016 12:54 | There will be no cash hand out for years. It's time to switch to EUA for well overdue news and near-term revenue. | doshdabbler
10/10/2016 11:11 | The permitting and recommissioning process was referred to in the last Dowgate note, it isn't unusual is it? But I would have thought Botswana would be the lead project and the one to kick the share price first. It certainly has by far the highest estimated value attributed to it at this stage. OT but relative - SOLG which has an early stage large copper project and have suddenly had money pouring in and interest from big players most recently today's RNS where they've refused an offer from BHP. Botswana could go the same way, Thailand too never mind some of the smaller plays. In real terms everything has happened very quickly at MTR, we shouldn't get too impatient. | paleje
10/10/2016 10:27 | I sold the last of my MTR last week after seeing this twitter exchange. I don't want to sit around for 18 months to see if they get the permits or not... Malcolm D'Gama @MalcolmDGama @metaltigerplc is Metal tiger any closer with the Thai permits ? Metal Tiger @metaltigerpl @MalcolmDGama04 working through the steps!! Malcolm D'Gama @MalcolmDGama @metaltigerplc how long does this process normally take ? Metal Tiger @metaltigerpl @MalcolmDGama04 circa 18 months Sean D. TheBigCheese @TheBigCheese @metaltigerplc @MalcolmDGama04 are you saying that we shouldn't expect Thai mine permits anytime soon, but we'll have to wait over a year? Metal Tiger @metaltigerpl @TheBigCheesePho @MalcolmDGama04 yes there is a process that we must respect - with plenty of news along the way | someuwin
10/10/2016 09:38 | I guess that PJ having worked excessively hard and with many achievements this past two years now needs a pause, time for reflection, and to re-focus his undoubted talents: none could work at such a pace and constantly. I admire the man and have had conversations with him. Good luck to all who are serious here. edit: Alex Borelli with his background is ideally suited to the task of ceo and he'll spend most of his time getting on with the job and no doubt less 'manic' pr. In short I am really positive about the news and have not traded my holding for over a year. | gaaston
10/10/2016 09:18 | He's already under 3% isn't he, but as a connected person will still have to notify. But he won't have to notify interests in other companies under 3% or that's how I see it. Seems to me to be a sensible move, the workload must be enormous and the last couple of times I've seen PJ on video he's definitely had a few more grey hairs. He's a bit of a maverick, not best suited to managing, better identifying opps, negotiating, persuading and communicating. Not sure why he's opted for non board position of consultant although I'm sure his detractors have their views. It might provide better earnings flexibility as well as freeing up a lot of his time. | paleje
10/10/2016 08:35 | When he is no longer a member of the BOD, he will be able to trade his shares without an RNS, once he is below the 3% limit. | daddy warbucks
05/10/2016 07:56 | Metal Tiger Plc ("Metal Tiger" or the "Company") Appointment of Financial Adviser and Broker to Secure Project Level Financing - Thailand Metal Tiger plc (LON:MTR) the London Stock Exchange AIM listed investor in strategic natural resource opportunities is pleased to announce that it has appointed VSA Capital as Financial Adviser and Broker to secure project level financing in respect of the Company's Thai interests. Key points: -- VSA to initiate investor research on Metal Tiger with a specific focus on the Thai interests; -- VSA will combine with SI Capital and Spark Advisory Partners to explore strategic options for the Company's Thai mineral opportunities either through IPO, reverse takeover or joint venture agreements; -- As part of the review of strategic options, VSA will also explore sources of project level financing for the Company's interests in Thailand; -- The Board believes that VSA's industry knowledge and access to capital in Asia will be of great assistance in this regard; and -- MTR and members of the Thai joint venture intend to conduct a preliminary roadshow in Hong Kong in the near term. Paul Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Metal Tiger said "I am very pleased to announce the appointment of VSA Capital which will enable the Company to access strategic project level financing for Thailand and its investments in-country. Metal Tiger was pleased to conclude the commercial agreement in respect of the Boh Yai and Song Toh silver-lead-zinc mines in Thailand. This agreement now enables us to explore corporate transactions that will provide this and other Thai projects with a platform to access their own funding as well as demonstrate the true value of each interest, which the board believe has not been properly reflected in the market value of the Company. The Metal Tiger board are keen to see all the Company's current and future investing interests stand on their own feet commercially. This means project level financing and the introduction of vehicles through which the Company may realise the value created through its early support of these projects and consequently the Board will look to share some of that value through future distributions to shareholders. In the specific case of Thailand, we believe there is an outstanding investment case for foreign investment in Thai resource opportunities, and Metal Tiger Thailand has the team in place to manage and advance such opportunities. Thailand has extensive geological potential, and with an appropriate due respect and regard for environmental protection and community support, we believe incoming capital will be well-rewarded for demonstrating belief and commitment in the opportunity to support Thai resource companies such as Metal Tiger Thailand." | someuwin
