29/11/2003 17:14 | No-one interested in this share... I'm very supprised. Take a look at the long term chart below, there is plenty more upside to come IMHO. The UK soft drinks market will continue to grow and Shloer is growing even faster. There is always the chance that they could get bought out by one of the big boys, such as S & N. | gateside

26/11/2003 18:27 | Dont know what to make of these. The mm's were clearly impressed as they marked the price up early. But then nothing much happened. | barnetpeter
26/11/2003 18:02 | Here is the link to the interim results Excellent results.. very supprised that there was so little trading in MYW today. Maybe some press comment tomorrow will bring some buyers out of the woodwork. | gateside
26/11/2003 17:59 | LONDON (AFX) - Merrydown PLC said it cut its first half losses due to an exceptional performance from Shloer and encouraging signs from Cider. Group sales rose by 17 pct to 9.68 mln from 8.29 mln, with Shloer turnover increasing by 29 pct, led by exceptionally strong summer performance. 25/11/2003 21:07 | Looking forward (hopefully) to some good news in the morning. Lets hope it's a 'Merry' day ;-) | gateside
18/11/2003 09:04 | GSands Yep still read this bb and eagerly awaiting results due next week. Chart looks oversold. I like shares like this that seem to do their own thing and stay stable on days like yesterday when most shares were down. For the most part Merrydown will go up and down on its own merit and does not act like a lemming to the market. A good stock to hold when the market is feeling nervous. | gateside
18/11/2003 00:43 | I'm still awake. No is the answer. But then Merry is awaiting the results and will ignore markets til then. | barnetpeter
18/11/2003 00:38 | Does anyone read this thread anymore? | gsands
12/11/2003 11:22 | I notice they have recently bought some of their own shares for cancellation. Do you think they are likely to continue with this policy? | gsands
12/11/2003 11:12 | Is it safe to assume that after a very hot summer the figures for MYW ought to be very good? | gsands
10/11/2003 14:44 | With an RSI of just 20, this is beginning to look very oversold. | gateside
10/11/2003 14:42 | With results due two weeks from wednesday, it will be interesting to see if we get any T-10 trades this week. | gateside
04/11/2003 23:08 | The MACD is now positive. Almost a Golden Cross... signals looking very strong | gateside
04/11/2003 23:03 | Merrydown is beginning to look very interesting. MACD about to go positive. I feel that very soon the bottle will be opened and ther will be lots of fizz!! | gateside
10/10/2003 16:51 | Eventually got the company report, and it suggests to me that there is a lot more potential growth here. Been very quiet of late, very few trades with buys similar to sells. Would expect there to be more activity in the run up to results in November. | gateside
23/9/2003 22:17 | I have been trying to download the latest Annual report from Merrydown's website with no success, has any one else had this problem? I have tried to get a copy from Meryydown through the post, but they have not responded to my emails, and when I telephoned them just got an answering machine, from which no-one contavted me back. Are they always this difficult to correspond with? | gateside
17/9/2003 13:15 | anyone looking for a company with huge upside next week, then take a look at AHT agm next week and three major contracts to be worth a look | wlfc1
11/9/2003 18:57 | See todays RNS. They have bought 50,000 at 74p. They havn't done so because they think the shares are expensive! Time to start to accumulate again. | barnetpeter
10/9/2003 17:58 | Your point is....? | barnetpeter
10/9/2003 15:56 | barnetpeter "Have to admit sold Merrydown at 84p (right at the top) for a stonking profit" REally!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | baom
09/9/2003 22:24 | Have to admit sold Merrydown at 84p (right at the top) for a stonking profit. Still like the company and still note Schloer every time I go into a supermarket (lol!). Looks like it is still selling very well. I am a trader by nature so hoping it would fall back to around 68p pre-results. Doesn't like likely so will have to think about climbing back aboard soon. I am looking around for under valued stocks nowadays as I think most of the known ones are fully priced nowadays. MEF looks cheap on any valuation. Any half decent management could make a profit on a 50 million turnover when most of the cash is paid up front. Justin Timberlake is THE biggest act at the moment in the world. Don't really know why apart from the Britney connection but I do know his concert tickets will sell well. Good timing too. Ticket receipts from his tours will exceed the market cap of MEF. His turnover from records, tickets and products will be not far off £100 million this year (like to have shares in HIM!). No wonder young people want to be a popstar | barnetpeter
09/9/2003 21:45 | barnetpeter Are you still still interested in MYW now that they have drifted down? They are beginning to look very oversold. Don't hold at present. I saw that you suggest MEF over on the FAR2 thread, looks like they have great potential | gateside
24/7/2003 19:41 | No interest. Yawn. This is NOT a telecom or IT company. It makes money. Boring.Dull. Ignore it. ps - Doesn't that chart above show the price hitting new highs day in, day out? I must be making loads then? Surely not. No interest. Yawn. | barnetpeter |
