Looking at the description of the fund:

To generate long-term capital growth through a diverse portfolio of companies providing environmental solutions.

And then the largest holdings list.....

I would say the description was somewhat tenuous..

Like EWCW, MNE managed a new (recent) high at the start of the year:

Thanks chaps. I'm thinking of getting some more diversity in this sector.

Both those you have mentioned look good chartwise and the recent market turmoil has certainly shown this sector to be very robust (as you might expect).

MNE still looks the best.

IEM looks like it might have lost trend, albeit slightly:

ECWC looks very nice trendwise:

Don't know much about the holdings of these funds. That will take a bit more digging.

GS. After your prompt I trawled through Trustnet and found ECWC. Looks very tasty. Its advfn bb is quite useful, too. I shan't swap from MNE, but if I can muster some cash...

Some similar plays to MNE (i.e. investment trusts) have been mentioned on this thread before - would a kind soul remind me what they are?

Indeed, but recovery from dip is in line with previous recoveries, and certainly isn't slower. I'm bullish.

Looking good (weekly chart). But it would be nice to see it over 70p again:

ZUT: MNE has recovered more than half its January drop, whereas INRG is only a third of its way back. Not the only criterion, of course, but I'd rather be in MNE at the moment.

INRG outperforming these of late. Appears to have more exposure to Solar than MNE.

Yes they are. MNE is a core holding for me, but it would seem to be a good trading share - big price swings linked in a predictable way to general market factors.

Guy you can find some different sizes and time frames on hornblowers bb "CHAR" and also take a look at fordtin's "fxc" aim listed Chinese companies there is a handy scrolling chart window which might be of help. Have a look at post 61 for code or other wise right click on any bb page of interest and select view source which opens up note pad on your pc with the code for the whole page its then possible to select what you require chart wise and make changes as you like to change epic codes for charts etc.

I have been playing with it myself a wee bit over the last week working on an update for the EEN bb.

Good time to look at the monthly chart for MNE.

Despite a nasty January (no surprise there) the up trend is still very much in tact:

When compared with the wider market:

GSANDS,

If you click on 'QUOTE' at the top of the page .. then the 'SEARCH' button just below
.. it will bring up a box with the list of 'exchanges'
.. and a box of 'stock types'.

Note than you can highlight the 'full list' in both boxes, and upon entering the epic,
it will then search everything .. I did this for a few more in your list, and came
up with the following .. not sure if they are the correct ones.

fingers xxd
