Me too. I have allocated £n to PPC and what I don't get for 25p I will buy on the market - when they give me my money back - the less I get back the better.

Robo - re 16468 - was worried last week when you overtook me, but as suspected, MNR came to my rescue. No chance of catching the leaders unless things go wild here.

Cant make the EGM, but if anyone's interested in meeting up in the city sometime next year I'm up for it.

One good thing about the holders of MRP we dont sell in a hurry and as the news released came after the closeing date, the core hloders that get the 1-4-3
will hold tight.
Any that come to the market will be snaped up, as I will be one of them.

Think he means he believes many more excess shares were subscribed for than were available so we all get scaled back and will be lucky to receive any more than 5% extra?

What a contradictory statement you have made.
If true and you managed to get an excess of 5% the shares where in fact heavily oversubscribed.
Or am I missing the point.

Have got wind that the shares were not surprsingly oversubscribed, though dont think I need a prize for that lol! I got the impression that I wont be getting many of my excess application. Was told it was too early to confirm exactly the excess but would be lucky to get more than 5% of my application.

Anyone else been told similar?

I see expectations that there will be a rise in the price, due to the left over money for the excess going to buy PPC at the prevailing price.

I'm dubious - we have to remember that someone willing to buy 25p shares sellable at 58p may not wish to buy at say 60p (assuming a 2p spread).

I suspect the MMs will play this and amplify any effect/pattern that arises early on. Thus, there may be some waiting until the dust settles and Levine starts to play his hand. I wonder if he'll do that in December when traditionally markets go quiet in the run up to the holidays. I suspect January before we get any news.

I did ask SG about the disappearance of the most vocal of the no camp brigade and if they had been given a 1 4 1. His reply was "Absolute nonsense and illegal"

I also asked about McKerall 3 and JV on PEL 82 and was told "President Petroleum is a different animal with a new team and an ambition and delivery capabilty that is in a different league to MRP."

Maybe we'll soon find out, it'll be interesting to see what acquisitions and deals they have in mind that are in a different league to PEL 82!

Lets see what 1st of Dec brings! :-)
