29/11/2009 14:34 | new week, new company, new board, new thread what has gone before is history enjoy the last day of MRP | rizzzla
29/11/2009 14:23 | Milf: wrong terminology really. Just that perhaps we should be more charitable under the circumstances. Will amend. | investorjon
29/11/2009 13:21 | Let the re-rating begin next week in earnest! There will be lots of return monies due over the next few days from the Excess. The MM'ers having shafted the T traders who had to close positions last week will most likely raise the share price aggressively once a few buys hit the tape. If they do not then the circa 52p share price looks very appealing IMO. | tadtech
29/11/2009 11:51 | IJ What exactly are you saying that is uncalled for? | milfeddyg
29/11/2009 10:35 | you should be thankful you have a sausage woz | rizzzla
29/11/2009 09:48 | Suspect he will be back under another name! | oneilly
28/11/2009 17:41 | IJ - I beleive the point of the original post was the usage of slander not libel law in the context of bulletin boards, not that one could post anything without fear of legal action or with a ready-made defence. However the information you give is very interesting. Are you by chance related in some way to the legal profession? | h101
28/11/2009 13:26 | pingu08 - 28 Nov'09 - 12:22 - 16442 of 16446 ... BB's are no different to anywhere else in the world and come under libel laws. Saw this from the NTOG board pingu: jimmyjagger - 23 Nov'09 - 17:01 - 5339 of 5504 Some people here need to brush up their understanding of what constitutes libel. "Mr Justice Eady said that [bulletin board] comments were likely to be protected as fair comment, which means that they cannot count as defamation as long as they represent the poster's honest views. Opinions may be expressed in exaggerated and strident terms; the only requirement is that they be honestly held. It is fanciful to suppose that any of these people did not believe what they were saying. Even if they reached their conclusions in haste, or on incomplete information, or irrationally, the defence would still avail them." | h101
28/11/2009 13:08 | I believe victor may have been given the post of international oil and gas development officer for the whole of portugal. This post comes with a 141 offer on any shares already held!! dirt | dirt67
28/11/2009 12:57 | Can't wait for the conversation to commence about the companies plans for growth in becoming a world wide mid cap oiler on the ppc thread. | pingu08
28/11/2009 12:43 | pingu08 I certainly do not expect SG to have favoured these persons but my point is that it is very odd indeed that they have said nothing for over a week especially ahead of the important vote. It surely must make others curious too. I will be very curious to see if Victor attends the EGM on Monday. | tadtech
28/11/2009 12:22 | Naming names within the company and making some rather far fetched statements about knowing how large shareholders were going to vote.... calling the management and PL thieves and robbers for this deal. BB's are no different to anywhere else in the world and come under libel laws. Rather than 'handing him a brown envelope' I wonder if someone had a not so quiet word? | pingu08 |
