10/1/2008 17:53 | Unless some acquisition news is coming which the company has already talked about and that would be paid with the issue of shares at the ord of 1p. The 1 million financing this time last year was also at the ord of 1p. They've just paid their vendors 1 and 2p in shares as well so a distinct possibility imo. If there were going to do any kind of re-organisation of the ord for an acquisition then they would NOT have just paid their vendors 1 and 2p. The below reply again from the chairman the other week: I have received your e mail and note your comments particularly in relation to the website. You will appreciate that as a public listed company no announcements are made unless to all shareholders. When there is any price sensitive information then the Board will issue a statement through the stock exchange. Other than that we only issue half year and final results statements as is normal practice. Clearly an update will be circulated with the annual report and accounts and I would hope that you will be patient and wait for that. I can however assure you that the Board are united in our efforts to achieve value for our shareholders. Best regards George Kynoch Current trading and prospects The Group has incurred losses since 31 March 2007, due to the continued low level of SMPA's investment and agency side of the business, following the deferral or loss of a number of key projects. However, the future sales pipeline has strengthened during June and is now showing the potential for much more encouraging levels of future sales. The Group's overhead cost base is being constantly monitored and further significant cost cutting measures are currently being implemented. Whilst there remains many challenges to overcome in the months ahead, your Directors believe there are good growth opportunities in SMPA's marketplace and therefore remain focused on building the business, both organically and through acquisition. | chancer6
10/1/2008 17:42 | Without doubt they are restricting trading which begs the question - why? The MM's by definition make money by making markets - they appear not to want to make too much of a market here at present which for me bodes well. | gantenbrink
