SW, not the most intelligent of posts from you, but I understand the sentiment based upon the share price demise,...perhaps a few pointers as an alternative......

Over £500k raised in the last 12 months, the most recent tranche of approx £200k raised 60 days ago.

New Nomad appointed approx 30 days ago.

Major backing from Stanhill, who also increased their holding to over 12% via a subscription placing price of 1p per share just over 60 days ago.

High net worth connections as demonstrated by new major holder Inversiones Bergamo Ltd, 10% holding taken just over 60 days ago,

CEO's comment from approx 30 days ago.....

"Outlook"

"The board is currently reviewing a number of investing opportunities and look forward to updating the market on our progress in due course."

"On behalf of the board I would like to thank shareholders for their continued support and patience over what has been a formative period for the company."

"I view the the future prospects of the company with great optimism."

Even the most casual amount of research into Stanhill and the Mercer BOD, you would pick up that these guys are well connected and serious players, so no, IMHO not another NEOS, but happy to take the prize of Village Idiot if the next 6 months proves otherwise......GL S

Well good luck for tomorrow Swizz .
I wouldn't like to be holding any into suspension or worse!!
Maybe you will get lucky though , lets hope you do.
4:30 tomorrow and you may be locked in for a very long time.
But as you said you are happy with the risk so it will be interesting to see what occurs if anything.
GL.

Ah yes that's right until it had invested the 300k in stocks it had to be suspended as it had not met the investing deadline at that time.
Similar to here .
Which is my point , investors could be locked in for a very long time here , into next year in fact.
Then they may raise a few quid and become yet another "investment company" for the sake of the rules and buy themselves another year after the 6 months is up.

Unless they have something in the next 2 days or not long after ?
What you recon Swizz you gonna have yer dosh locked in here for yonks with no guarantee you will ever see it again or have you heard a whisper :) ?

Aug 17 2010: name change to Mentum
Dec 15 2011: investing policy approved (1 year to undertake RTO or suspension)
Dec 21 2012: slipped into suspension (6 months to undertake RTO or de-listing)
Jun 21 2013: implemented interim investing policy by investing £300k in stocks

Its my opinion they lied to the market with the RNS stating they would be going into the oil and gas biz.
People invested SOLEY on the basis of that RNS.
They must have known full well that they were intending on NOTHING OF THE SORT and in fact looking at something in another part of the world and in another sector.
If they had said a gold mine in an area where other gold miners are having extreme problems with the goverment etc then would so many people have bought into it ?
It needs investigating .
The TGL fiasco should also be fully investigated as it was a shambles but it made a fortune for some!!!
I mean you cant spend all that money for a handful of test drills!!?

R G Fletcher, post 1340
Mentum didn't "slip" into suspension they secured an RTO which was the plan from the outset, thus it was suspended pending an admission document as are the rules for all such situations.

Indeed, however I wasn't referring to that second suspension but the one before.

Better be the very near future then cause if they don't do a deal by Thu they will be suspended ?
You have 48 hours , find me a deal or your head will explode ...................or summat like that.
I take it you have spoken to them very recently then and they have given you hope ?

soulman08,.....Share price aside, there is no change in my position, I still feel with the sector being on it's knees, hopefully a decent asset can be secured at a sensible price, for me it is a medium to long term investment and a belief that this team will pull a decent deal together, based on placing prices of 0.9p, 0.75p and 1p, with the most recent being at the end of May, others would appear to share some of my thoughts,....GL S

Also FWIW, I will be looking to add again in the near future.

Question: if MCR is suspended and a RTO arises, that must negate any rally in the share price on merger news? Have there been any ECR/MGA rumours from your side?

NB> I don't hold MCR, but ECR who have a wholly only subsidiary called MGA exiting administration with a $80m tax on the 8th Aug. I thought MCR might be part of the strategy for monetising that tax loss. ( and may explain PJ's interests )

Stanhill have no qualms about letting one of their shells slip into suspension.
That way they can be ultra dilutive on the share issue for any RTO (see Mentum)
