06/9/2007 08:52 | Where have you sprung up from 1775? Care to expand on that sweeping statement, or are MDL about to release some news and you are one of them paid de ramper type people that try to scare people into giving the MM's their shares cheaply that everybody keeps going on about on other threads? :o)) | duplicate book
06/9/2007 08:04 | Could you explain please? | labatie
06/9/2007 08:02 | Start looking for another share guys - time is up for MDL! | 1775
05/9/2007 15:09 | Reb.........have spoken with my colleague who is a holder of MDL and a little more knowledgeable than I!! The licence was granted in two parts. The first, a two year contract in which time MDL was obliged to carry out the 3D seismic, and the second part is a seven year exploration contract which we have entered into with TGS-Nopec. MDL are in the process of sorting out a partner to begin this exploration, and it is this that they are concentrating their efforts on at the moment. He has spoken with the Company on a number of occasions in the last few months and is happy to hold at these levels and reckons that everything is on track. Thats my understanding of the situation anyway and don't think that we are needing to re apply for any licences re Tunisia. | duplicate book
05/9/2007 09:42 | I've opened every RNS and searched the word "year/years" and I cannot find any other reference to 7 years other than Albania which pops up twice. I admit that this is not the best way to verify if a newal has taken place without reading through them all properly. | rebelsrus
05/9/2007 09:01 | OK, I will investigate some more on this as I put that date in my mobile phone 2 years ago and the alarm went off last week warning me with the link to the website I given you. The website could indeed be out of date and that a newal has already taken place some time ago. I have done a quick scan and so far the only reference I can find as to the 7 year is the PSC for Albania which is as below: Albania The Joni -5 Production Sharing Contract (PSC) was signed on September 4th 2006 in Tirana, and is now subject to ratification by the Council of Ministers. The PSC is valid for seven years, and medOil is obligated to conduct a 400 sq.km. 3-D seismic survey within two years with a drill or drop decision after the second and fifth year. medOil holds the licence 100%. The permit encompasses approximately 2,500 sq.km. offshore southern Albania where water depths range from the coastline up to 800 metres. Three proven hydrocarbon plays are identified in the block, all with successful analogues in the region: thrusted anticlines and sub-thrust anticlines of Mesozoic-Eocene carbonate rocks; Miocene-Pliocene sand bodies in structural or stratigraphic traps; and erosional remnants of the Mesozoic-Eocene bank edge carbonates. The 3-D seismic programme and modern seismic reprocessing should confirm the potential of already identified prospects and hopefully highlight other attractive targets. I'll keep looking. | rebelsrus
05/9/2007 07:58 | Hi Reb.........I think that the Prospecting Licence ran for two years and that Medoil were required to carry out the in depth study (3D seismic), which as we know they did. They now have the Exploration Phase of that licence which is valid for seven years I think? This is the part they have got with TGS-Nopec. So although that part of the licence does expire on 22nd Sept, I think that because they have carried out the necessary requirements, they now have a further seven years to get the stuff out of the ground and make us some serious dosh :o)) Could be wrong though so if anybody knows different, please put us right............... | duplicate book
04/9/2007 23:41 | The LOUZA Prospecting Permit expires on 22/09/2007. Wonder if any news are delayed until the renewal? | rebelsrus
04/9/2007 15:21 | petemorr........it is my understanding that the Company are working to sort out the partnership issue as a priority. It is strange however, that all of the recent press and article publications re Albania and Medoil have not resulted in some sort of RNS. I agree we are overdue a little news, or at least, an update on the current situation. | duplicate book
04/9/2007 13:29 | I thought some news was supposed to come out over "the summer"... Tunisia etc etc. | petemorr
