14/8/2015 09:01 | They seem to have plans for Max according to this. Following completion of the Subscription, the Directors expect to work with AGR Energy to review the Company's business plan, Board structure and strategic and mid-term goals. The aim of the review is to enable the Board and AGR Energy to assess how costs can be reduced and operations and capital expenditure optimized, to maximise shareholder value going forward, considering the current fiscal and commodity price environment. In addition to assessing the current asset base, the review will also consider acquisitions of new assets that the Board believes are accretive and will enhance profits and value to the Company. It is AGR Energy and the Company's expectation that Kanat Assaubayev intends to remain on the Board and that Aidar Assaubayev will be appointed as a director of the Company upon completion of the Subscription Agreement. It is also the intention of AGR Energy and the Company that two Independent Directors will sit on the Board, as per, the terms of the Relationship Agreement. | whoppy
14/8/2015 07:13 | Posting of circular to approve the funding. AGR must be going ahead despite the price of oil. | whoppy
05/8/2015 10:40 | I wonder how mch of a haircut the creditors are willing to take in return for getting some money. Not agreeing will mean there won't be much to go around if Max goes into administration. AGR won't be able to grow the company and pay back the debts. I guess the creditors realise this and don't want to fire sale the assets at this oil price. Probably best to let AGR establish themselves and turn it aound. The prospect of new management may make it more palatable. A hit at NUR1 would solve all this if AGR wanted to complete the well. | whoppy
04/8/2015 11:07 | Well, Max throwing a lifeline to Samek by applying for protection from creditors will give AGR confidence in investing. They couldn't of done it without AGR and I don't think the creditors were expecting that! Let's hope the court gives approval. | whoppy
04/8/2015 10:47 | ...who know's, if oil price tick-up then the moribund may yet revive. Optimistic? | farmer george
04/8/2015 10:40 | Max in rehab by order of the Kaz court. Solvency protected by law to make creditors renegotiate payments. I guess AGR are backing this up and forcing negotiations. Some influential ppl getting the bank in a lather. Got to post that circular to shareholders no later than 21st August. | whoppy
27/7/2015 18:39 | there is value somewhere but who is going to get it ?? | wolf4
13/7/2015 09:46 | Bargain price for AGR , and they take control , 5p holders can only wait and hope they can turn it around. | jotoha2
13/7/2015 08:37 | AGR investing $13.8M at a premium of 0.2341p. Don't know what it means but can't be bad considering. They might bring something else to the table other than cash...maybe a project or two with production..apart from Max's own projects. Certainly well connected. May get the recent tax claim nullified due to the families influence. | whoppy
13/7/2015 08:34 | not dead ....... yet | smartypants
