hako02: HJFe Dont be down with your investment, this has brought down only by crafty MMs,they are bringing down share price intentionally for a reason. There is not enough sells to justify 12 percent drop in 2 days,I have been watching every trade closely all the shares sold are mopped by buys.So any positive news from the company will drive the share price rapidly higher levels and causing rerating the share price and it is going to be sustainable not just spikes. I have been doing my part as well.Since i established the connection with Mr.Skinner I sent him 2 emails explaining shareholders are in great expectation of market update as they were upbeat in the last rns,and if they are planning to update the market these days are right time. Share price is near all time low at the moment it is not time to sell,if you hold on to them you will be rawarded. all imho

riggerbeautz: Ossies i'm not one of the this is going to hit whatever price, but clearly whatever the business position, debts, trading etc the main influence on share price was caz! S.P savaged due to their selling anyone can see that, where it rerates to anybody's guess, but i've bought close to the bottom and not paid more than 0.57 for any of my holding. Plenty have paid well above 1p, think I can stay calm whatever battles some may have with posters like A.W who may or may not come and go, don't really care. You get a herd, you get all sorts, have to be careful what you wish for sometimes.

ossies: No problem RB - I just noted some were trying to put a slant on the outcome/response to the email which I did not feel perhaps was a correct reflection. I would love the share price to respond as some would wish!

hako02: Dear Mr.Skinner Unfortunately I havent received a reply to my email below sent you last week.I would be grateful if you could reply. I am writing to inform you I am a shareholder in your company I hold around xxxx mainwood shares in my nominee account. Whilst I understand market conditions has been very bad lately and you had exteremly diffucult year I am sure you are doing everything you can to keep Company going.I would like to thank you and for your staff. There are couple of issues concerning me and I would be grateful if you could help me.As we know one of the major share holders cazanova holdings decided offload their shares in your company. They have been selling shares since october 2009 hence constant selling cause share price drift lower ever day.I have been depressed by the value of my holdings going lower every day.I do not know what is their motives they may have their own reason.I have been looking forward to seeing they finish selling their shares as it depressed the share price of mainwood. On 1st of February rns they have had 21.745 million shares. They have reduced from 30.745million.However on 18th of january they had 42.745 million reduced from 49.745 millions. My concern is from On january 18th they were holding 42.745 millon shares but february rns stated they were 30.745 million shares prior to reducing their position. There is 12 million shares has not been accounted. Is it a simple typing mistake? If not what has happened to the 12 million shares? I have been fallowing the trades in the market there has been heavy selling which I guess from cazanova yet we have not heard from the Company regarding holding. I have noted there was change of nominated advisor to CENKO securities. If this is not price sensitive I would be grateful if you could tell me the motive behind changing the Nomad? Apart from these I hope everything is going very good in the company I am looking forward to seeing Mainwood growing in the sector. I would like to thank you in advance for your time and looking forward to hearing from you very soon. yours faithfully first reply Dear Mr xxx My apologies for not replying earlier. I am awaiting a response on the point on Cazenove's shareholding as I agree with you that there is a missing step in the reduction of their shareholding in Mavinwood. The responsibility to notify us lies with Cazenove and our function is to notify the market according to what shareholders tell us. I will revert to you as and when I have the information. The change in Nomad to Cenkos reflected the Board's belief that a change of adviser was appropriate given the company's troubled recent history, although the Board acknowledged that Collins Stewart had done a good job in very difficult circumstances. Yours Charles Skinner second reply. Dear Mr xxx I have just heard from Cazenove. As a fund manager they do not need to disclose movements in their shareholding between 5% and 10%. Also, they have no need to disclose further once they are below 5%. This is something I was unaware of. I hope this clarifies the situation for you. Yours Charles Skinner

jonnyfro: Shares - take a look at the post I did at the start of this month... Jonnyfro - 3 Feb'10 - 21:29 - 645 of 1008 edit Here's an interesting graph.. free stock charts from www.advfn.com On all the days that MVW have released a non holdings RNS apart from the ANSA closing balance sheet one the trading day has either been flat or up but never down. From that one can conclude that at the time that news was released the market percepted that the news was positive however the fact that Cazenove were dumping shares diluted those rises and ensured they were short lived. It also shows that the share price at the start of Caze dumping was 1.25-1.5p.. Caze dumping 07/10 78.25M 26/10 69.25M 19 days and 9M dumped 06/11 58.25M 10 days and 11M dumped 16/11 55.75M 10 days and 3M dumped 11/01 49.75M 50 days and 6M dumped 18/01 42.75M 7 days and 7M dumped 02/02 21.75M 14 days and 21M dumped Look at the last figure - smacks of desperation to me and given and end of January or as close as possible deadline to clear out.. Now the question I would be asking is where would we be now if Caze hadnt been dumping? Personally I dont see any significant difference to 1.25-1.5p and where we were before they started dumping. I know that the market received the non-holdings news well but would it have been that well received if the share price had been higher?!?!

riggerbeautz: Yep comedy's done a fantastic pump and dump on this. One look at the share price tells you how much money he's made so far! Then again, maybe some people also see logic that Comedy posted up, it might now be bombed out due to a huge seller due to clear soon and a possible new story to emerge. Guess thats AIM for you, small companies, manipulated prices, but just occassionally they come good if you gamble at the right time. Place your bets.

demark: i had just below 1/2m and sold the whole lot as i had been debating for sometime following the inference from the new chairman for mvw that he believes the mvw's valuation at a share price of .4p represents fair value. i was bloody speechless. dyor
