I am a long term shareholder of MVK and have never been sent an annual report. Where are they?? What are they doing? I was sold the shares by a cold caller stockbroker in the City. Is this legal??

Here is a copy of an email I sent and the reply I received from MVK in 2007.
(I was optimistic then. I didn't expect 'soon' to mean 1.5 years or more!)

.....

We are continuing to sell DVD's through Lace Group. Longer term we are
planning to merge with another company. An announcement to update
shareholders should be forthcoming soon.

Subject: Any news

I'm a long term shareholder in MVK.
Is there any news of when the suspension of the shares is likely to end
or any other news that might be of interest to me and other shareholders?
I have noticed that you have added some new publications to the Lace
Group catalogue since the suspension. Does this imply that there will be some
good news soon?

'These two titles have been added to the Lace Group catalogue along with the other MVK titles. Unless Lace have made an error, they belong to MVK. They have beeen added recently'

If these titles are to be 'big' surely that is market sensitive information which should have been published as a company announcement? The company is in the business of intellectual copyright and licencing.

After allowing the share price to collapse from 0.4p to 0.05p over less than two years the company has witheld its results for over the normal six month reporting period. To also fail to publish information on a new significant asset (if it is a significant asset) is unforgivable in my personal opinion.

There is also Maverick Entertainment Inc in the US.

Are you sure that MVK have got these rights?

Why did they not make an announcement about this important matter?

After or before getting their results out on time?

Have the Full year figures for year ending December 2006 been published?

Watching from the sidelines - but doubt whether I would ever try to chase my losses on this one - when or if the suspension is ended.

If there is a legitimate fix for this, it may still be at the cost of even more diluted shares.

2 new books due to be released by MVK on 23rd July apparently!

The Neverending Story
The Neverending Story, is based on the much loved, best selling book by Michael Ende.

Nancy Drew
Nancy is a 20 year old university student who is captivating, curious and fiercely independent.

What does this mean to the suspension?

2trying

Caution is needed.

Many of us need the price to more than double just to get our money back.

The spread is still wicked. If you need to sell all your holding, as things are, you will lose a big percentage of your investment.

Check out MVK announcements on: www.investegate.co.uk

Placings of many, many millions of shares at .25p, then .2p, then .15p - lower and lower prices have diluted the holdings of those of us that were buying last year and eroded confidence.

ko3pm - I think you are on the right track re those large trades.

I've seen quite a few of these happen on stocks that have announced placings(e.g RAF) and my suspicion is that the parties taking on the shares to flog them to PIs engage in a bit of smoke'n'mirrors, moving stock between accounts at the high end of the price range to generate the appearance of v.large buys going through.
I could be wrong but it's hard to imagine that for these penny stocks that clients are willing to take on volume at such a large premium to the placing price.....

Montyhedge - do you actually know what the current mkt cap of MVK is and how much twenty times that would be???
