The problem with the set up at Soko was, that we were only selling to the Russian domestic market and the price was about half the Brent price. So if the oil price was $100 we were only getting $50. You also get hammered for extraction taxes and if you try to export oil from Russia there are transport taxes. We are well out of Russia but I'm not happy about the way our resources have been used in the US.

I keep trying to find out what soko is producing but have had no luck as yet. It would give a yard stick of sorts and maybe shed some light on the 'deal' that was brokered behind iron curtains. Like all of us I look forward to a fair deal from our beloved gang and will wait and see. It's their sad track record so far though that prevents me from holding my breath whilst we wait. A lot of value seems to have been dissipated. ?

Thanks Super much appreciated, and in my sick sense of humour way I am genuinely glad your back, you have some good points and so do some of the more hopeful outlook points of view. It's all luck to be honest, when a ship is potentially sinking the captain in this case and most companies look after themselves.

I am more positive, but I do have a nagging doubt in the back of my mind what the boards plans truelly are, we will need a bit of luck on the way e.g. oil price increasing etc.

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of US

I transferred my shares cause not sure if Barcs trade CDIs.

You can also transfer once CDIs issued if want to but process can be long so may not be able to trade first day they list if transfer not gone through .

Only benefit transferring prior to 31 Jan deadline is to have it go through quicker in case list earlier than anticipated .

If brokers won't hold CDIs they will write to you giving you choice to sell up or transfer

Glad your back SuperT, given a bit more balance to some of the recent posts. One question please. my shares are with Halifax, I've been told I don't have to do anything yet they will convert when due from 1 share to 5. Once that's completed I was looking to transfer to sharecentre as Halifax do not deal on the Stockholm market. Don't understand the 31st Jan deadline? any advise or explanation in laymen's terms would be appreciated.

Ps I wasn't going to repost but when I saw the drivel you were posting had no other option .

Ps anyone interested I managed to push through my transfer of shares from Barclays
to sharecentre - went through today so before cut off date 31 January .
Was nightmare solely due to incompetence of Barclays backoffice .
I cannot recommend sharecentre highly enough .
Barclays more like Buster Keaton

Budget

Are You serious .
They delisted company three years ago for fictitious reasons .
They had no need to delist as events have shown .
Oil price didn't crash till way later
They sold our only asset and got paid bonus amount after delist voted through .
They have been getting money out of company all this time and have awarded themselves fixed amount backpay on relsist which represents a substantial amount and percentage of value of company .FOR WHAT
I think it highly likely MB has already got his initial investment back in pay ,options expenses, etc that's excluding the money paid out to his gang
As beggarman pointed out he has also given away 60% of company and put us $45m in debt.Oh yes and lets not forget they spent $5m drilling in Texas and have added ,wait for it ,125 bopd to production
You are all frothing at mouth on the remote possibility that this will relist at delisted price of three years ago.
That's crazy .
Better to have put money under mattress .

The only people benefitting from these people getting on board have been themselves and their gang .

Do you really think someone would have paid out €35m for SOKO if it only produced water .That deal also stinks .For us anyway.what did we get out of it. .

Brilliant business man - you have a problem .
Didn't you go on and on before EGM how production would be easily in excess of 1500bopd.

It is as if you have been so used to being taken for a ride that you think it's the norm and no matter what they do it's a sign of brilliant business man .

Wait till you see hay happens when they relist .
Going by their past record they will be very happy and no doubt you will be .
But perhaps others not so smitten and lovestruck and with a semblance of a capacity to think objectively may not be

So they gave away 60% of the company and landed us with $45m of debt and that's world class!

matra boy, I agree - it wasn't that Super took a pessimistic outlook (which would have been perfectly understandable), it was that he proclaimed that they were crooks and trying to shaft us when they were clearly not. They are world class businessmen trying to negotiate their way through the worst oil market in decades which was always going to be very difficult and take a long time.

Ned like you ive lost money along the way. Max petroleum going bust. Sold up in victoria oil. Share price going nowhere. Its a risk we all take. Super said for three years this would never list and the russians were a bunch of crooks. Well he was totally wrong on that one. We may not all get what we want on the listing price but atleast then you can sell and move on. For others like myself i will be staying. The reason is i dont believe we are dealing with a bunch of crooks as super so elgantly put.

I've always respected Super's views. Nobody can say that they've been comfortable or content with how things have been here for the last few years. Of course, come re-list, if we enter at a price above de-list, we will be pacified somewhat. That said, part of my holding sits above 3p. Many may well be in this position. Let's all hope that the rhetoric of growing a medium sized company comes to fruition.
