Appointment of Patrick Shanley as Chairman

As also announced in today's Preliminary Results for the year to 31 July 2015, Matchtech Group plc ("Matchtech", the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Shanley as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from the end of the Annual General Meeting on 2 December 2015.

As foreseen at the time of his appointment as Interim Chairman on 28 January 2015, Ric Piper will resume his previous role of Senior Independent Director with effect from 3 December 2015.

Patrick, 61, is currently Chairman of AIM-listed Accsys Technologies plc. He has extensive board room experience, having previously been Chief Financial Officer of Courtaulds plc and Acordis bv, Chief Executive Officer of Corsadi bv, Chairman of Cordenka Investments bv. and Chairman of Finacor bv.

Patrick began his career working for British Coal where he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant.

Ric Piper, Interim Chairman, said:
