20/12/2013 09:47 | Generally there is just far too much merchandise in the stores, there is no chance of selling everything. Also people are wiser now and save some money to get items and clothing in the sales. Next and Primark who do really well, still have an immense amount on their rails and shelves. It will all go in their sales, which in turn means we will not need to buy so much next winter. | yewtrees
20/12/2013 08:53 | M&S have such a wide range of stock, some do much better than others. Ladies bootie slippers have sold out in store and the children's onesies they are down to a just a few left. I came home and ordered a few things I couldn't get in a large M&S store which are going to be delivered to my small local M&S Christmas eve. | yewtrees
19/12/2013 19:37 | forgot to put in....overtime cancelled also due orders from management... I doubt it is only that store tbh | captcash
19/12/2013 19:29 | I know someone taken on as a xmas temp she and some others due to finish 11th jan have been told they have to finish 28th dec now.. clearly m@s not making the money they expected to... a lot of the recent share price fall due to city expectations of x mas trading results imo | captcash
18/12/2013 19:35 | Today they have reduced 50 per cent off some gifts and beauty lines and 30 per cent off some selected clothing lines. The gifts are things like crackers (which they do not want to be left with after Christmas, my local M&S has a few boxes left after selling most at the full price). Anyone can have a look at the M&S website to form their own opinion. | yewtrees
18/12/2013 19:15 | share drop due to M&S going on sale 30% off mens/womens/children | pjw956
18/12/2013 14:21 | I thought 18 months ago the shares were around the £350 level. M&S are in a much better place than they were this time last year. | yewtrees
18/12/2013 13:28 | I read about a month back that the Dunelm Mill boss had been buying a few M&S shares. | yewtrees
18/12/2013 12:25 | I wouldnt be suprised if phillip green is watching the share fall and rubbing his hands. Will he finally get his hands on marks and spencer. At a much cheaper price | marko1961
18/12/2013 11:22 | UBS downgrade. Downgrade M&S and ASOS to Neutral and cut Debenhams forecasts and PT We cut our forecasts for M&S (FY14E PBT cut by 3% and FY15E by 8%) and Debenhams (FY14E 11% and FY15E 10%) on lower gross margins. | miata
18/12/2013 11:15 | that news was 3 days ago... | fxscotland
18/12/2013 10:40 | shocking revelations in sun/times,chinese angora rabbits have their fur ripped from them alive, M&S said we will not place any further orders, until we have concluded our visits to farms, which seems to imply they will keep selling products in short term NOT GOOD ENOUGH | mike24
