19/1/2017 18:32 | Seeking alpha. Taylor Dart, Contributor Comments (2136) |Following |Send Message Author’s reply » Hi Team, Sorry for the lack of replies following the PEA, still waiting on further confirmation from IR before I go into numbers as I'm doing my best to convert tonnage costs to all-in sustaining cash costs to make it easier for us to understand. If I had to make a completely conservative guess just to give a small update, it looks like the project will be producing at under $375/oz all-in sustaining cash costs, with 290,000 ounces per year of production, and this is based on what I believe to be half of the current resource. With a new resource estimate we can bring more ounces into higher confidence categories and likely add grades as well, this would lower the costs even more. Once I have a better idea of the exact costs and parameters Ill be releasing an article with comparisons. Thanks for your patience, Taylor Dart | dilbert dogbreadth
19/1/2017 15:00 | Mariana Resources (MARL.L) – BUY*: PEA Results Market Cap: £106m; Current Price: 85.5p; Target Price: Under review From yesterday: IRR of 153% and NPV of US1.37bn n Mariana Resources has received the results of its Preliminary Economic Assessment of its 30%-owned ultra-high-grade Hot Maden Copper-Gold Project, located in Turkey. The project has a post-tax NPV8 of US$1.37bn and a post-tax IRR of 153%. n The total capex for the project including sustaining capital is US$261m. The mine will have a life of nine years and will produce 2.6moz Au and 142,000t of Cu. n Forecasts and price target under review until the PEA is filled on SEDAR within 45 days. BUY rating maintained. NORTHLAND CAPITAL PARTNERS VIEW: Mariana Resources has produced an exceptional Preliminary Economic Assessment at its 30%-owned ultra-high-grade Hot Maden Copper-Gold Project. With a post-tax NPV8 of US$1.37bn and a post-tax IRR of 153%, investors will find it difficult to find another mining junior with a significant interest in a project with comparable metrics. The underground mine will produce an average of 288,000oz of gold and 15,800t of copper per year which would result in average revenue per annum of c. US$443m (£351m) at current metal prices, which would be c. US$133m (£108m) in net revenue to Mariana Resources per annum, more than the Company’s current market cap. | cpap man

19/1/2017 14:13 | dogberry20200019 Jan '17 - 11:47 - 2512 of 2520 0 1 "No major miner would be likely to invest in Turkey given the current political and economic conditions regardless of PEAs.It would be tantamount to throwing away shareholders money. When building mines political stablility is a key criterion." What a load of bull. Yes of course political risk is assessed when majors invest, but to suggest no-one would invest in Turkey because of the current risk is baloney. If you want an example of investment in politically risky countries look at Nigeria, huge investment in the oil industry despite bombing of pipelines and insurgency bordering on civil war in the north. I'm all for debate dogberry, but everyone is aware of Erdogan and the recent coup attempt, your posts are pure scaremongering. | tinker10
