15/1/2007 08:05 | quite an impressive collapse | thecleaner
15/1/2007 08:02 | Still reading lordcoco! Could have been a profitable short for anyone reading your 29 Nov comment re. WalMart (although I was on holiday at the time and missed it, only just reading it now). | sranmal
15/1/2007 07:46 | Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread but announcment today is pretty dire. My fear was not just that Walmart would find another supplier but that sooner or later the deployment would finish anyway and March had no where near enough customers to fill the huge gap left by knocking out such a big % supplier of revenues. Looks like that has happened sooner rather than later according to statement, or worse - Wmart has dumped March in favour of the other (Verint?). | lordcoco
05/1/2007 16:43 | does anyone know why this share has underperformed so much? the turnover and profits last time suggest quite a different valuation ? | soya56
29/11/2006 13:53 | Unfortunately, listening to the conference call, I think these may be in for a bit of a hammering. The big dark cloud will be the news wrt WalMart and them still being such a huge customer in terms of revs regardless of what they say about it not effecting their FY guidance. Strom very bullish on bombardier though very little else mentioned - not enough short term imo. Trading on a GAAP PE of over 30 now and a long way to go to even make up their lower estimate. See if anything comes up in Q&A... | lordcoco
29/11/2006 07:59 | Q2 results out. Another mixed bag. Numbers slightly distorted by lawsuit payoff it looks like. Can't see these going anywhere quickly on these results, already on a high P/E and no change in guidance, because of "investment year" growth looks to be slowing down, or maybe it just is. Think they'll need to show revs from all their new activities before people "pile in", in the meantime have to wonder whether there is enough going on to stop people piling out?? | lordcoco
26/11/2006 09:23 | Well done andy the chart suggests further highs pretty soon. RBC target $33 . | mitzis
24/11/2006 21:55 | sranmal sorry for the delay [hd] | jumbo66
24/11/2006 21:22 | nice up to 18 [hd] | jumbo66
24/11/2006 15:31 | Almost $27 a share in Toronto this afternoon must be due to the recent London Underground contract. | mitzis
24/11/2006 08:52 | "They are a great showcase customer," said Anil Dilawri, March Networks' spokesman. Looks like he reads this BB ;~) | milesy
24/11/2006 08:31 | Canadian article on LU win: In the article it says it (the deal) represents the "first fruits" of the partnership with Bombardier - does that meean that the Montreal and Parisian subway deals already announced by Bombardier will not include Serkuflo/March? | lordcoco
23/11/2006 09:59 | Maybe Milesy, March's kit is perfectly suited for retro fits and given this announcement you'd assume they'd definitely be in the runnings if such a proposal came up. Also this deal is at the front end, the operations and analytics end, hardware from the same supplier would seem a natural choice. I'm still baffled by the (lack of) reaction to this news. There is rumours of IBM bidding for Verint and speculation that that was the reason for the recent fall in March's share price - why that would be the case I don't know. Perhaps fear that IBM may squeeze March out of the software/analytics side of things, given this announcement though it looks like they bid for the wrong company. Cannacord also recently (couple of days ago) reiterated their "buy" on March and target of CN$29. I can't find any negative news in the sector or specifically toward March, it could be that no one on this side is prepared to buy until results prefering to see how business is going overall (been a bit quiet on the Trax front) but I'm hoping there may be a bit more interest when Canada opens up. | lordcoco
23/11/2006 09:43 | I wonder if LU have any plans, subject to it being possible, to retrofit systems into their existing rolling stock? One can only imagine that, as a primary transport artery for London, this would be a serious security requirement for the Underground ahead of the 2012 Olympics. | milesy
23/11/2006 08:40 | Great news indeed. Was interested to see that Bombadier have a manufacturing base in Derby as I hadn't seen that on checking out their site the other day. The London Underground contract must serve as a important milestsone in March's European expansion plans and a valuable reference customer for both March and Bombadier. Keep 'em coming. | milesy
23/11/2006 07:45 | Bloody hell!! I eat my words, the Bombardier relationship is bearing fruit sooner than I thought, and how sweet it is too. Although, once again, delivery is some way off, because of the announcement now I'm beginning to think that revs due to March will be forthcoming much earlier than deployment date and the same goes for the Parisian and Canadian Metro contracts. This sector really has exploded for March! I don't know if they have, but if they have taken this contract from under the noses of Co.s like Verint, who had a contract with LU, that is a major coup. | lordcoco
18/11/2006 11:40 | $25 now andy..up 75 on the day must be expecting some good news soon. Chart wise we are about to cross the 200 ma and Rsi is oversold and is due a bounce overall I am confident of 1200p fairly soon. | mitzis
17/11/2006 11:36 | Hi milesy, It would bode very well, how many customers are likely to choose an alternative over that chosen by the world's leading passenger rail transport provider? It would be a bit like buying a car and then opting to have the airbags fitted by someone else. There's not been a great deal of info on the relationship yet so we shouldn't jump the gun but it does look to have great potential. Have you noticed the big mystery trades cropping up again as we approach results time? They really p*ss me off as I still can't figure them out, either there is no market here (being second fiddle to TSX) and large buys and sells are matched near the mid or it is Aim Boll*cks (technical term) which just makes me suspicious. | lordcoco |
