03/9/2007 08:37 | Prices bid 5p offer 6p, 2 v 3 | giant steps
24/7/2007 17:30 | Slapdash, accepted MKD is vulnerable, but it won't do the directors of Oxus much good to their reputation if this company goes bust, will it? Time for courage. It has already been pointed out on the Oxus thread that even Newmont mananged to agree a deal with the Uzbek Govt. We just have to be patient and ignore the share price "noise". | nobull
23/7/2007 15:37 | interesting how Gret the grinch's companies seem to go under shortly after he recommends them.. this and Smart Telecom and I'm sure others... slap | slapdash

27/4/2007 11:47 | I think the deal (selling the only concrete assat for a ´fair´ price (but nothing more)) ) is not that good, if you look at it seperately. At the moment there are no Uzbek projects, there is only hope. Future will tell if there is some sort of deal between OXS and MKD (MKD supports the Oxus/Zeromax deal and in return MKD is involved in future Uzbek-projects). I am looking at this rather positively, but from the sidelines. I sold all OXS and MKD-shares a few months ago (bad call as far as OXS concerned). I am waiting for a bit more clarity before jumping back in. Thanks for the info on William Charter... | otd
27/4/2007 09:42 | otd - I suspect the non-Uzbek projects have been sold off as part of the Oxus/Zeromax deal. Like Oxus, Marakand may now be concentrating on Uzbekistan-only projects which will hopefully include a role in Khandiza. Interesting to note that executive director William Charter's fees were paid in Marakand shares recently. | zaphod99
26/4/2007 22:25 | P.S.: I also don´t see how not releasing the drill results or not waiting for the results before selling the properties benefits all shareholders... | otd
26/4/2007 22:09 | True, there is a chance that everything will be OK in the future, but the keyword here is ´chance´. Why would selling these properties to KazakhGold improve the chances of being involved with Zeromax? Do you think that this chance increased due to this deal? Why? In my view it makes no sense for Zeromax to give a share to MKD. If they want to give a share to a foreign investor why not directly to OXS? This would give Zeromax a larger indirect interest. OXS is also a much better choice, since they have the cash (and the ability to raise cash) to pay for the share and for further development. If you look at this deal seperately I can´t really see why it is a good deal. Probably the price is fair, but why would MKD sell its only concrete asset for a fair price? It only makes sense to sell such an asset if the buyer is willing to pay a high price. In other cases it would make more sense for MKD to continue developing the properties. I can see how Oxus, the biggest shareholder, profits from this deal as it is part of a larger deal between Oxus and KazakhGold. However, how the other MKD-shareholders profit from selling these properties for a ´fair´ price is unclear to me. | otd
26/4/2007 19:14 | otd, I still think there is a chance that MKD (read OXS) will be given back a share in Khandiza in some form or other. The reasons that prompted OXS to spin off MKD as a separate entity seem as valid as they did several years ago. Who knows,OXS shareholders may then get another divi of MKD shares as before. Stranger things have happened! | pecker1
26/4/2007 19:00 | Why is 0,95 Mio USD a good price? I am sure that they made a nice calculation, but I think that an exploration company with those assets alone would have a MK well above this number. Just look at the companies listed at AIM. This sale seems most of all good for the bigest shareholder. Since it is part of a bigger deal OXS really needed. In my opinion it´s not that good, MKD lost the only concrete project they have. What is left for MKD beside the hope that Zeromax includes MKD in a project (Khandiza???). Maybe a stupid question: why would Zeromax do that? They only have an indirect interest in MKD. If they need an outside partner for whatever reason, they can use OXS directly. cheers, otd P.S. According to the interims, 10 initial exploration holes were completed in February. Wouldn´t it be logical to wait at least for these results before a pricetag is put on the properties or were the results never reported? | otd

11/4/2007 18:15 | Bought a few this afternoon at 6.85p. Hopefully Zeromax will be of some help. Don't think it would look very good if we were not treated fairly by the majority shareholder. Chin up Cezary. | nobull

12/3/2007 16:44 | If Marakand do end up getting a role in Khandiza thanks to Zeromax's influence (plus the possibility of other lucrative projects in UZB) they might yet remain as a separate company with a market cap somewhat higher than it is today. | zaphod99
12/3/2007 15:21 | 3 for 1 would be very nice, the only fair compensation for MKD investors. | giant steps
