28/4/2015 09:32 | I thinks it's quite obvious how the search is going insofar that they have not yet made an appointment!! It does become rather frustrating when PLC directors treat their PI's with such disdain. | a2584728
28/4/2015 09:28 | Which is the point. A NOMAD can be ASKED to act, but has to ACCEPT the invitation given that the chosen NOMAD would have had to have been in full knowledge of the current situation within the company, in terms of trading, finance and corporate governance! So, it's no use, with due respect, writing to the company as per your (apparent) letter. It would have been more pertinent, albeit indirect, to ask how the search for a new NOMAD was progressing. A response to that question would have been far more informative than anything else. It's always better to ask an indirect question, than a direct, slightly aggressive, one. | grahamburn
28/4/2015 09:12 | Well there are lots of NOMADs available, they can be appointed very very quickly, if fact as quick as the ink dries on the cheque. The problem is that if you have acted a little deviously NOMADScan be rather difficult and expensive, all a big IF of course!!! | a2584728
28/4/2015 09:10 | The suspension is, principally, due to the company NOT having a NOMAD, so it is unlikely that the company can announce anything whatsoever until it has a NOMAD to approve such an announcement. A vicious circle one feels. | grahamburn
28/4/2015 08:54 | Dear Mr and Mrs RyanThere have a few problems recently but surely you don't have so much disdain for your investors that you are going to leave the shares under suspension indefinitely. You have had over 10 weeks to resolve your internal issues and make new senior appointments, yet he extended delay does nothing other than to make the market feel that you do not know where you are going and no one is driving the issues forward.Surely you can see this?If the company is in a good place then tell us all, if it's in a bad place then more importantly we need to know. You need to get you share holders support back and your reluctance to lift the suspension only drives a further wedge between us.Kind regards | a2584728
22/4/2015 06:47 | One of the Ryan's may have to stand down from the board and have a deal on voting on board matters. | a2584728
21/4/2015 12:04 | When they lift the suspension they must make sure that all of the angles are covered, new NOMAD, competent FD, strong NED and a plausible Chairman. Reporting functions must be in place for the finances and the assets need to be re-valued and reported on. | a2584728
21/4/2015 10:26 | If you believe the NAV. Valuations have tendency to change very quickly in here. Anyone looked into that £10m owned by June? Seems the £10m coming in was going straight back out. On 16 December 2013, Mar City PLC assumed the bank debt associated with the land sites it acquired through its acquisition of Mar City Land Ltd. Six of the loans totalling £9.7m are repayable on the earlier of the sale of the developed sites or 30 June 2015 | lbo
21/4/2015 09:47 | the only think in their favour at the moment is the NAV which should be around 70p per share. | a2584728
21/4/2015 07:37 | The Business Editor's column in The Times refers briefly to Mar City. The important message, according to him is the "lesson of the dangers of buying into companies built on related-party transactions.... It’s been a disaster, with Shore storming off after rows over Mar’s failures to hit profit forecasts or close deals. A married couple on the board is a big enough sell signal, without having to buy the stuff they own." | grahamburn
20/4/2015 15:50 | Bank's probably lining up to step in, hence the reason everyone is jumping ship. | grlz
20/4/2015 10:50 | I hope not. I bt a few at Friday's bargain offer. With property prices holding up, their assets should be safe enough so I expect a positive outcome to this temporary problem. | david77
20/4/2015 10:33 | is this one finished | dlku
20/4/2015 09:10 | I am sure the business is in good shape, it's a shame about the NE Chairman as he is a credible chap, they will need a top FD and someone with strong hand to protect the PIs from the other directors.NOMAD I think will be Shore Capital or maybe Zeus, let's see. | a2584728
20/4/2015 07:49 | Well the NOMAD was worried enough to just quit all of a sudden with no discussion or explanation!? | lbo
20/4/2015 07:11 | Fortunately "The Company's operations continue to perform in line with management expectations." | david77
20/4/2015 07:00 | Anyone know why the Nomad just resigned all of a sudden? | lbo
20/4/2015 06:42 | I thought that the shares were a bargain on Friday - now we know why :-( | david77
20/4/2015 06:08 | Complete overhaul by the sound of things | a2584728
17/4/2015 11:08 | ouch, knee knocking time for the ryans. | a2584728
17/4/2015 07:43 | Rest of today and Monday then | badtime
17/4/2015 07:34 | Where's this update on or before 20th ???? | a2584728
02/4/2015 20:50 | i'm not buying full stop...sitting on my hands | badtime |
